Based on that I've just checked mine and nothing! Then again I'm sure I'll hear about room assignments as soon as they happen on here!
Still hasn't sunken in though that we're only 60 days from sail date though!

They sell laundry detergent and fabric conditioner in the laundry rooms. You just swipe your card and it goes on your onboard account.

There are also toiletries in the shop onboard, not sure if the also do laundry detergent there too.

They sell one-load boxes of Tide in the gift shop for $1.99 or $2 in the laundry room machine.

To those of you who recommended the Stieg Larsson books (The Girl Who Wore a Dragon Tattoo, etc) to me for good cruise reading.....I finished the last book and I thoroughly enjoyed them! :worship::worship: We went to the beach last week and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest was attached to my hand the whole time! Ready for some more suggestions people!!! Thanks again!!!!!:banana:

I'm still watching you. :goodvibes

Ok so far for the Scrapbook Cove Cafe meet I have:

Me
Mary (Tod&copper)
Pat (Pflamingo)
Lauren (Namsupak)
Linda & 2 roomies (Lindababe)

Did I miss anyone? Any one else care to join us on a sea day (to be decided) for a coffee & chat about all things scrapbooking? Let me know & i'll add you to the list. :thumbsup2

Add me too! Thanks, Keri

:headache: Oh man! I wish the shipping fee's weren't so expensive. :guilty:

Claire, not sure where you live, but if the issue is shipping costs to Europe, you are welcome to ship them to me and I will bring them to you on the cruise.

Keri

Good morning all,

Finally, after tummy troubles for a week I'm back to my old self again! DH is recovering well and I'm trying to prepare for a week at WDW...we leave on the 22nd!

I was thinking about the stateroom tour...specifically when to do it. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm thinking that a morning (just before lunch) might be best as some have little ones that nap in the afternoon. I think that one of our sea days would be best....and I think maybe earlier in the cruise rather than later.

Hope everyone is doing OK. I saw where someone broke their foot...I'm so sorry! I did that about 5 years ago and the boot they made me wear was awful as it was on my driving foot....not fun!

Keri

Had a quick trip with no internet access and wow! what a delight to come back and see new cruisers and and yummy photos of Palo brunch desserts!! DH and I lingered over those, carefully enlarging until we could make out every detail. I think we drooled on the keyboard a bit.

It feels so real now, I guess because I'm beginning to feel an urgency to make lists, finish FE gifts, and practice packing!

I can't tell you all how much more exciting it is to prepare for a cruise with this forum to visit--and anticipating all the fun DIS activities and wonderful times with new friends is part of the fun. I'm just so happy we found the DIS boards and this group :)

I'm so glad a couple of you have mentioned wearing the same outfits; I promise to pretend I've never seen your outfit before if you will pretend you haven't seen the same trusty neutral skirt over and over! I'm not even imaginative enough to dress up an outfit with new shoes or a scarf or belt. Ever a creature of habit, I'll wear the exact same thing down to the earrings and just hope no one cares!

I'm not a scrapbooker but can't wait to peek at whatever you imaginative crafty folks are doing!

Hi Karen,

I promise not to worry about how many times I've seen your trusty neutral skirt! Packing for this trip is going to be quite the experience for us too. I'm just glad I have a couple of "wad up" dresses....you know, the kind that you can wad up and then hang in the bathroom while you shower and they come out looking like they just left the cleaners! I bought them for a business trip to Europe a few years ago and I'm so glad to have them.

Keri (aka, another Karen)

maybe i need to get a couple of those! packing is going to be a pain in the butt.

Well I won't be caring. I will be wearing the same clothes over and over. They will be mostly the same ones I wore last September on the WBTA too, plus the January PC cruise. I can't wear them any time else as we are a different climate, and I don't do dressy normally, so all my cruise clothes are never worn otherwise. In fact I need a few other cruises to try and wear the clothes up!!!;)

I can highly recommend Mercy by Jussi Adler-Olsen. He is a danish crime novel author. I think this book is the only one translated so far, but he has written 3 more in the series (and I'm waiting very impatiently for him to write more)

Keri, what company sells these magical "wad up" dresses?

I bought one at Dillards and one at JCP. One is by Jessica Howard and the other is a Liz Claiborne. The key is the fabric. Both of them are 95% polyester with 5% spandex. They hold their shape really well and the wrinkles fall out with steam and a bit of hand pressing (you know, smoothing out with your hands as opposed to an iron). They are the perfect travel dress. One is black with white polka dots and the other is just a "little black dress."

Love them both!

I have a JCP right near work--will start looking. I think it's the spandex I'll really like; keeps it's shape better. Sounds lightweight, too. Thanks!

Whatever day you pick is just fine with Vickie and I.

Will do. :thumbsup2

Aww thank you so much for your kind offer but there is so much stuff I want to get that I think i'll order it just before we go on the cruise and get it shipped to Bay Lake Tower for when we get there.

Thank you so much though.

Glad to hear you are feeling better & that your DH is on the road to recovery. :goodvibes

:rotfl2: Glad my Palo photos were a joy to see.

I will be wearing the same clothes a few times too, i'm pretty sure most people will be so no one needs to worry about it....life's too short. :)

I've had lots of fun this afternoon making some more of my FE gifts :cool1: it was all going well until I ran out of something, so i'll have to get more supplies before I can carry on.

Thanks! I've written it down! Will check the library! :thumbsup2

I am a big fan of Downy Wrinkle Release and always take it on vacation - great for things like Tshirts and polo shirts. Just sparay lightly, tug on the fabric a little and the wrinkles (mostly) disappear. Beats ironing!

I have some of that, it is great stuff.

I totally resemble that remark - a whole set of clothes that only get worn on cruises and another set for Disney world.

We're 4 nights at the world (BLT) after this cruise and "Scrap your trip" is on my list of places to visit.
