Cant wait to get my FE orders through now so I can make a start on them. Has anybody else got theirs to make or am I totally behind?
Colette

I'm about half way through mine. Still plenty of time to do them. :thumbsup2

Hi Birkner…. Noel I hope things settled down for you real soon.

I went to the optician’s today, because I felt I needed new glasses for the cruise, and all that reading I’m going to do. Only to have the young optician tell me that it’s only to be expected that my eyes have deteriorated and at my age it’s only going to get worst !:rotfl2::rotfl2: When I said he had just depressed me, he replied he didn’t normally have that effect on people.lol my only thought was they all must be younger than me !!.... and for that I came out £374 poorer ( approx. $500 ):rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

:sad1::sad1:My DD suffered a fall on her trek for the Duke of Edinburgh award. Thankfully no broken bones. She’s now back at base camp while her friends continue. I feel for her, although this was a practice for the real trek next year. She can no longer receive the full award without having completed it, after eight months of preparation it’s upsetting for her.
I'm really missing her now, because she sounded so upset about it and she won't be home until tuesday, but at 17 she's still my baby and as a mum I still want to protect her from life's down's

On a lighter note love all the doggy pictures

And DH purchased one of those ice bags shown on the board earlier, :rotfl2:just hope that's not an impending sign of an accident since my DH thinks I'm a accident waiting to happen !! and our first aid kit for this cruise just keeps getting bigger and bigger, Just how much meds etc do we need to take?

That's great news for those with small groups. We are now going to wait in the hope that the 1&2 Dis group's get the private room. Since it's just the two of us we have had no luck.... Well Done:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

AhHa, now I know where to come if I need one.:rotfl2::rotfl2: I have a real bum knee, so have to baby it.

I am so sorry about your daughter, I am sure she worked so hard to get there and now have to come home. I am sorry you have "old eyes", at least that seems to be what the doctor said. Just get those new glasses and just like the Big Bad wolf in Little Red Ridding Hood, say to him, "the better to see you with my dear".:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Heading to the beach in the morning. :beach: We'll be fighting the traffic:drive: with all the other "4th of July-ers" migrating to the ocean!:boat: Hope everyone has a wonderful week, be safe, and please, please, please don't make me come home and have to go over a ga-zillion messages to play catch-up on disboards!! :sad2: LOL

Binkytell, Thanks for organizing the brunch, we will have to wait for the 10th to find out for sure. Fingers crossed!!

Does anyone know approximately when people in the GTY category will get assigned staterooms? On other cruise lines it can be anywhere from 30 days to a week before or the day you arrive?

Thanks!

Amanda

Based on previous cruises, we are expecting them around the 30 days pre-cruise date.

...Americans - have you seen the article that our credit cards won't work in Europe because they don't have a chip like the European ones do? What's your strategy for dealing with that?

Hope everyone has a great Weekend!

When I would start to hand cashiers my card, they would point at the cc machine that allowed for the chip and pin. I would say "American," and gesture the downward swiping motion. Worked every time.

However, some self-service machines required a pin, so I would have to go to a cashier - like when buying train tickets in France or Italy.

Than you to everyone for their well wishes. Life is a little mor sane today but I probably won't be on the DIS or FB much.

Here is the PAID in full pin list. If anyone else wants pins, I have a few that are still on allocation. If you are not on the list and feel you have paid, please send me details about your PayPal payment so I may correct the list.

Hi Noel, hope today is going better for you. I will send you a PM as I had ordered 2 pins, but don't see my name on the list.

My DH would love to take the dogs to the DW pet resort.

Our cocker spaniel barks at almost anything with wheels except cars and trucks unless they are noisey. Especially barks at motorcycles and bicycles. :rotfl:

We all will need to show off our fur babies with each other.

He barks at doorbells, knocks and barking dogs on TV.

Forget the pub crawl tee shirts (just kidding) - we need dog shirts that show those we have left at home.

Since everyone is posting images of their "kids" - here is ours. The first picture is from Mardi Gras - I'm not going to tell you what she had to do to get those beads! :rotfl2:

I chose the beagle dog picture for my Discover card, just because it is cute and makes me smile.

:cool1::cool1::cool1:We need to think of a name for our group of ladies like the Magic Disdancers or Twinkle Toes Disdancers!!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:
:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: We're taking names of potential candidates and there will be try-outs on deck (Deck 6 taken for Riverdance auditions!). :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Sounds like a good time to me! :thumbsup2

Whatever you are called, when dancing on Deck 6, you won't be Riverdance, you'll be Oceandance.

Now showing on a cruiseship not near you, for a 2-week limited engagement, "Oceandance."

Noel - hope everything settles down for u! Thanks so much for organizing the pins and such

Just got to WDW today. Went to 1900 park fare for dinner. When Lorelei left she said "I meet princesses. I like prince charming." She's talking so much now. this trip is going to be so fun since she's much more interactive :goodvibes

thanks everyone for the get well soon wishes. have had a really bad migraine since thursday along with a bit of a cold so just feel like poo really.

It's Stamford's 6th Birthday today and he is currently playing with his new toy. :goodvibes Kind of sucks that today of all days we got a letter back from his insurance saying they are not paying out on his tumor as it was the same type as the one from last year. :headache: I guess we need to find £600 ($900) from somewhere to pay for it now.

Not a great week for news as we got a letter on Thursday from the courts about our burglary incident in April and the scumbag basically got let off with an 8pm curfew for 12 weeks. On top of that because he has no means (aka unemployed druggie) he doesn't even have to pay us the £300 ($450) cost of repairs to the door he busted open. It is laughable!!! How pathetic is the justice system in our country. :sad2:

Than you to everyone for their well wishes. Life is a little mor sane today but I probably won't be on the DIS or FB much.

Ok, this seems to be the week that we all can't wait to end! Noel, I hope it's nothing too serious. I'm so sorry to hear these things, especially when health is involved. I, too, have had one of "those" weeks. Little things like the iron breaking, a state inspection at work (went very well, but was stressful nonetheless), and a letter from the IRS asking for more money (due to a miscalculation on a schedule filed with our return)...all minimal but annoying :). I also tried to order something for my FEs with a DCL logo, but was informed I could not use a trademarked symbol. Oh well, I tried . More importantly, my DNiece Anna (PinkPug) is in the hospital being treated for a staph infection on her leg...not so minimal, but she'll be fine. She went to the ER Wed. and was admitted, treated overnight with IV ABT, then released with orals when her WBC went back down to normal. But early today, she was readmitted when the symptoms flared again. Poor kid...I told her she'd better get it taken care of now, because she has some serious cruising to do! :goodvibes

Hopefully, next week will be better for all of us and our families :thumbsup2.

Already got 'em.

Both seriously adorable!!!! :flower3:

I just dropped a letter in the mail today to the IRS in response to their stating we didn't include my dad's pension for 2009. They wanted big bucks + a hefty penalty. Strange, since I had included the exact amount missing on the line for pensions. Wonder if it was computer or human error.

Doesn't that just make you crazy? I actually need to review my return to make sure I did make a mistake...one never knows about the IRS :headache:.

Karen, that would be awesome! I exhausted my search here in Raleigh. I would hate for Claire not to get them, and if Archivers calls later, I'll just cancel with them! I wouldn't mind one more of the borders. Thanks so much!!! :worship::worship::worship: Also, if you wouldn't mind picking up the other matching set of stickers, I would appreciate it!

Claire.....was going to give you the borders for our scrapbook exhange since you are on the list, but you'll probably want them before then. Hope Karen is able to get some more to send you!

I picked up the scrapbooking borders and matching chipboard stickers for you two ladies. Deb I was just going to bring them along on the cruise, would you rather I sent them to you? My DH told me I was a sweetheart for picking them up for you guys ... I just smiled ... yeah it is such a hardship to go scrapbooking shopping with other people's money  .. and also pick up a few more goodies for myself ... cuz I'm just that sweet :rolleyes1
