Actually it might be a good idea if she meets an American suitor ..... then she could get to work in USA which she wants to do anyway.

Definitely champagne before dinner at Palo Pat ... see you there.

I am toying with the idea of horse riding too ..... problem is Tony has never done it and unless he loses a bit of weight I would be concerned for the poor horse :rotfl2::rotfl2: I haven't ridden myself in about 10 years but I would love to give it a go.

Yet another reason for me to keep working out and watching what I eat. I have this image of the poor horse's eyes bulging out and his knees buckling under the weight.

We have used Bernard tours in the past on St martin he is awesome!!!

I emailed him earlier this week, and replied we are interested... how do I send in a deposit to book... have not heard back yet. Will give him another day or two before emailing again. It is good to hear he is awesome! We've never seen Orient, but definitely want to see the planes again (not for too long though since shade is limited).

You can also go super lo-tech with this. Some people just hang a tote bag or one of those recyclable grocery bags on the FE and that's it. If you want to get fancy you could buy some craft paint and write your name on it. Just don't try to iron letters onto the grocery bags. They're make of some kind of plastic-y stuff. I learned that the hard way. Took forever to scrape it off the iron.

I'm going to let our girls decorate our's. It will NOT look anything like the neat ones on ebay. In fact, it may not be recognizable at all! But I bought a bag with little pouches from Hobby Lobby, and some kind of paint. Maybe I should get this done soon so if it looks absolutely deplorable we can save ourselves and order one...

just found out the trip we had planned for st maarten is fully booked, not sure what to do now, whats everyone elses plans to give us some idea's lol,

John and I decided to rent a car and drive around this time.

I am thinking I am going to need to put a spreadsheet together to map all of this out - what's going on what day (formal nights, excursions, times in/out of port) - so we can know what to book and when!

We have to wait until the 27th - too. Can anyone tell us what, if anything, is completely booked up in regard to excursions?

Don't forget, John and I will be publishing a DIS Navigator that you can either print out, view on your computer or put on you iPod, Android or iPad.

It should have all the daily activities for the DIS board, birthdays, anniversaries etc. Anything people want to add, they should PM me.

Yes, thanks for the reassurance. I posted that as soon as I saw the other poster, then I read 4 more pages of the thread (this thread grows faster than kudzu!) and am feeling better that we will be able to get something once we are on board in not on the 27th.

Since we get in late afternoon on Friday, I am considering doing a 4 hour taxi tour of Barcelona on Saturday. I hate to go all the way to Barcelona and not see any of it. I was thinking from about 9:30am-1:30pm, arriving at the port about 1:30pm to board. I am considering using Barcelona Day Tours. It is costly, about 280 Euros for the 4 of us, but again, I would like to see some of Barcelona since we have gone all that distance.

From what I've seen on this thread, it looks like you are assigned a time to arrive at the port to board? Can I just get there at 1:30 regardless if I am assigned an earlier time? Is that too late to board in anyone's opinion?
We did a tour of Monseratt last year which was in the same time frame. I thought it worked perfectly and we didn't have to wait in line to board the ship.

You should here from him soon. This is the website for the reservation form. It is under the contact us tab. www.bernardstours.com He actually called me for a cc number to reserve it. He used no require one but he got tired of people booking and not show up. We consider using him again this year but going to try something else.:cool1::)

Yep - that is what I filled out first. He replied it is $40 per person, so I replied to make sure about the rate of a 15-month old since his website said free. (I had included ages in the website inquiry). He replied yes - infant is free. So my last reply was along the lines of "great, let's book, how do I send a deposit?". Waiting on that reply. But that would make sense if he called you - maybe that will be what I am waiting on.

We used someone similar for a tour of St Thomas, and know we loved that tour. A little beach, a little sightseeing, etc. :thumbsup2

Hi everyone,

It takes ages to catch up on all th latest news.

In reply to the query about stateroom allocation we were allocated this when we booked with virgin about 6 months ago.

Jinx leprechaun - I've sent you an email in reply to your PM about gibralar. One thing I forgot to mention was a pub/restaurant called the Royal Calpe. It's towards the top of the main street on the right hand side (just before M&S) and does really good food and cakes at reasonable prices. They also do free Wi-Fi and at the back have a large conservatory which is great for kids as it is smoke free (it is still legal to smoke in pubs and restaurants in Gibraltar and sometimes it can be unbearable).

From catching up today I was quite worried that we would not be able to secure anything for Palo, the posts with reassurances are appreciated, fingers crossed for the 27th.

As in understand it there isn't a library on the magic. Does anyone know if there is a book exchange of some kind or is that something that we could set up on here. It could save valuable packing space (not that I'll have that much to start with once Helen & Grace have finished).

Thanks for now

Paul, Helen & Grace

WE got #8 :cool1::thumbsup2:banana::woohoo:

So far we DISers have 8, 11 and 12. Wonder who has 9 and 10? Wouldn't it be fun to have a DISer party?

Thanks for the Gibraltar pub/restaurant tip.

I do not know about the book exchange but some of us who have kindles may be exchanging books though calibre.

Who did you use for the rental? Did you arrange for round-trip?

Oh, and 7pm is fine. No time is too early for champagne. Thanks why God invented Mimosas.

I'm not sure who it is booked through, Mary (Tod&Copper) organised it & her hubby is driving. I am sure she will tell you when she is back next weekend. :thumbsup2

Amen to that!

If someone is doing a book swap or there are other activities that need to be in the Navigator, will they please PM me so I be sure to put them in?

Thanks,

Noel
