Thanks for the info Karen...but I wonder if they will have it on the return trip since we have such limited time? They had it on the trip over last year at 10:30 am but we don't get there til after 11:00, do we?
Thanks for pointing that out to me, I had no idea we got to CC at 11:15 .. ouch  .. I wonder why we dock so late. Maybe we'll get lucky and arrive early, it does say times are subject to change. Maybe I'll have a little chat with The Captain ..

You might also be someone who isn't in their room that much to appreciate a verandah. We have friends who are hardly in their room, basically just sleep, shower and change there so they never bother with one. They would rather have another cruise. Also of course there is no saying the weather will be as nice as last year(though we all hope so!!!;)).

That's us to a T :thumbsup2 We tend to use deck 7 Aft as our personal balcony, but are willing to join the fun on deck 10 too. :yay::yay:

For women's eyes only - sorry guys

Much to DH's horror, he caught me eyeing up the shapewear in M&S on Sunday. This is one that I spotted:-

http://www.marksandspencer.com/Ligh...&sr=1-32&qid=1304453026#CustomerReviewsHeader

My DSIL swore by it last year by the second week on the WBTA when all the lumps and bumps from partying hard started to show.

I tried on the black one to see what it was like..... wow it certainly works :rotfl2: at a great price. She paid 4 times the price for her original Spanx one. It just looked like a swimsuit :thumbsup2

Just thought I would share, even though it is a sensitive subject :lmao:

If my body looked like that model's, I would have no need for the product :rolleyes1

And here I thought that the aft Deck on 7 was my "private balcony" :rotfl2::rotfl2:! I love that spot and it's just around the corner from my room.

Guess I'll be seeing others there too.

Karen

Thanks for the thoughts. We will not be going back to Macedonia. The TA is our transport home from our tour. We will be going to Boston by way of Atlanta at 1230. Our next assignment in in Washington, so we will be headed there after some family visits.

So if you got an 11 domestic, I think we should be good for a 12. There was an 11, so if we get there early maybe they can switch us.

We have not booked the DCL transport yet, but we plan to once we can book other stuff on 26 June.

Thanks for the information.

Fontabel

Hi Fontabel,
Check out this link on DCL's Web site: http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/p...air-ground-transportation-bahamian-caribbean/
It gives information on the participating US domestic airlines where you can check in onboard the ship if you book DCL transfers - just scroll down to the bottom part of the page :)

We received the final payment reminder today from DCL. On the bright side it means the cruise is getting closer :cheer2:

On a positive note I have just been for a 3 mile walk and done 20 mins on Just Dance Broadway for Wii .. so maybe I won't need the support undies if I keep it up.

Well done, keep up the hard work :)

I got my bike out and have been cycling to work this week, no excuses with the nice weather. It's one mile to the office, but I dash home for lunch too.

Walking the dogs for 45 mins helps too :thumbsup2

Well done you two, keep up the good work. :thumbsup2

:dance3: I can't believe we are almost at 4 months....it's going to come around so quickly!

Do you think Pippa(the bridesmaid at last week's wedding) wore shapewear? Me thinks she didn't need to. What a fab figure!! No bulges or anything.

We have had 3 reminders so far. Do you think DU are a bit worried we won't pay?:lmao:

GOOD Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Deluging and 47 degrees F this morning. WHAT happened to the weekend's sunny and 70?

I'd love to do that, but have one child under 3 so we are either putting her in the nursery or finding ways around it... however, £600 seems like a lot of babysitting hours so I'll work out something!

I keep thinking that cruising without kids must be the ultimate in relaxation... I love my children, but it's exhausting constantly working around them. One day, when they are big, I'll have to try cruising as a grown-up :)

Fingers crossed we get the Oceanview swap though... it just seems to have that much more space than an inside, and from what I saw this morning, the price was less than what we paid for our inside.

xx

How old are your children? We cruise as two adults and I highly recommend it. On a couple, we've had our honorary grandchildren - which seems to make it a TOTALLY different trip!

For women's eyes only - sorry guys

Ohhhhhhhh - and there's a Marks & Sparks in Gibralter? I'm on it! (in it?)

I don't think so, All the Middleton women looked fabulous - daddy must be so proud!

Happy Day, all!

Hi all. We arrived in Anaheim last night and had dinner with friends from our PC cruise.

It's in the 90s here so I'm thinking splash mountain will be popular. First off heading to the Rapunzel line while DH does the FP runs. We have ressies at Ariels Grotto and tickets for WOC.

This is going to be ........."best day ever."

Have a great time :thumbsup2

Well....it's official....MNSSHP is not going on the week-end after our cruise.:headache: The next date after the cruise is on that Tuesday, Sept. 27. UGH! That's why we booked 2 nights at the Boardwalk after the cruise because I've never been to the Halloween Party! Guess I'll just have to make the sacrifice and come back later! lol :lmao:

ME TOO!!!! :wizard: I've seen pictures of how beautifully decorated the parks are around this time and of the great pics you could have taken in front of the haunted house (with the ghosts appearing in the pics) and of Cinderella's coach! I just thought that they would have have it each week-end (Sat./Sun), and that why I just made our reservations for just 2 nights. Shows what I know! :headache: I've been during any other time but not in the fall.....and I'm going to miss it again this year! Oh well....I hope you have a wonderful time when you go! Enjoy for me too! :goodvibes

I'm very disappointed too, we booked 3 nights at BLT before flying back to the UK from Miami as we really wanted to do the party. We have done it twice before & loved it, I was really looking forward to it but I guess that i'll have to wait another few years to do it again. :sad2:

We were disappointed too, so we have decided to visit St Augustine after the cruise as it is somewhere I have always wanted to go to. If MNSSHP had been on we would have gone there though as we loved it last time.

Waiting in line for a chance to meet Rapunzel and get pics and autograph. I need my princess fix since I raised ALL boys. DH waiting patiently with me in the hot sun!!!

Sorry to those missing MNSSHP. We are fortunate enough to go on Tuesday the 27th.

Sarah--St Augustine is lovely!!

Best Day Ever

Weekly Recap April 27 - May 4, 2011 - 128 days until cruise

Getting Around Barcelona

"We also used the T10 tickets. They worked well for us since we were staying in a hotel that was a little farther out from the central city area."

"DH & I used the HOHO bus when we were there last year. Since we have limited Spanish language skills, it was much more comfortable for us. We bought our tickets from the hotel concierge desk for, supposedly, a small discount. It was really easy to navigate on and off which made it nice to jump off and shop when we felt like it. I'd do it again.

Royal Wedding

steamboat will:
"Hello all

I'm super lucky to live so close to London, so when I woke up today I decided to go up and join in the wedding day festivities.

Left home at 8.30 and managed to get a spot on the The Mall, which is the main road leading to Buckingham Palace. Saw Charles, Camilla, The Queen and Kate whizz by on their way to the Abby,

And later was really lucky to get a spot close to the palace and I could see William and Kates kisses.

I feel so lucky to have been able to go and enjoy the day and wonderful atmosphere.

Now I'm sat at home watching the highlights on the BBC to see all the bits I missed"

Passporter Guide

"A random planning questions ... what do you think about Passporters? I've been thinking about picking up the 2010 Cruise one (since there's no real eta on the 2011 edition). Since this is my very first Disney cruise I thought it might come in handy."

"We bought the 2010 Passporter. It's a TON of information!"

"I've used PassPorters for years for both WDW and DCL. They do include a lot of info - I love them! The DCL one doesn't have much on the TA cruises, specifically, but it does tell you a lot about the ships and Disney cruises in general. ..."

"I've got a 2007 copy of the Passporter's Field Giude to DCL and its ports of call that I bought before our first cruise. It's very informative for life aboard the Disney Wonder and Magic. Although it doesn't cover all of the ports of call for the WBTA, it does provide some information on Barcelona, Gibraltar and St. Martin..."

Running

"Just wondered if there were any runners in the group?..."

"We are in training for running the 5K on Castaway Cay, we will be the ones at the back of the group"

"Thanks for the info Karen...but I wonder if they will have it on the return trip since we have such limited time? They had it on the trip over last year at 10:30 am but we don't get there til after 11:00, do we?"

The 5K is not an 'official' activity, but it is headed by a volunteer crew member. They usually post it in the Navigator the night before Castaway Cay whether that option is available, but from what I hear, it is run more often than it is not. Sometimes you get a certificate for running, sometimes not  I wish Disney would make it more official :thumbsup2

Here's a thread from the boards on it http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2698873&highlight=castaway+cay+5k

Wonder in San Francisco

"Went up to San Francisco today to see the Wonder off. She looked so great in port with the bridge in the background. Met up with some cool Disers and took pics and waved. The sounding of the horn was delightful..."

John took this sequence of photos as the Wonder left the Bay. Photos were taken from Hawk Hill in the Marin Headlands above the Golden Gate Bridge as the Wonder was leaving the San Francisco Bay.

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP)

"I don't know if anyone is interested but MNSSHP tickets are on sale now."

"I've seen pictures of how beautifully decorated the parks are around this time and of the great pics you could have taken in front of the haunted house (with the ghosts appearing in the pics) and of Cinderella's coach!"

"Well....it's official....MNSSHP is not going on the week-end after our cruise. The next date after the cruise is on that Tuesday, Sept. 27. UGH! "

Cruise Price Decrease

"Also the price of the WBTA has dropped a little bit more..not alot, but still every little helps."

"The price we got was using the Uk residents discount code MEO which you put in the first booking screen when choosing your cruise on the DCL website.

Hopefully you have a UK TA who can re-do it for you. DCL cancelled our previous ressie, re-applied the money to the new booking and swapped our room number over."

Currency to Use on Cruise

"For those that have done this cruise before, what money did you have to exchange for each port? I know the caribbean is the US dollar but I am not sure if I should look into both Euros and Pounds and not sure about Portugal at all."

"With regard to the different ports, the currencies accepted are:-

Barcelona - euros
Gibraltar - euros and UK £
Madeira - euros
St Maarten - euros and US $
Tortola - US $

So you'll only need some US $ and euros in currency"

"Just an extra here. Gibraltar has it's own currency, the Gibraltar Pound. It is the same as the UK pound, but you don't want it as change as you can't use it anywhere else! So, ask for Euro change(or UK money), or use your card. One of us Brits will always buy some back off you if you are stuck with some(not Gibraltan though)"

Verandah-free Option

"We used deck 10 as our balcony last year to enjoy the beautiful sunsets and evenings and that was free"

"We will also be spending a lot of time on the Deck 10 balcony."

"see you up there with a lovely bottle of something cold and sparkling"

"I'll be up there too, with my glass of Champers or cocktail of the day. Cheers!"

"So let me get this right.......

We'll by dancing on Deck 6 & Drinking on Deck 10......sounds perfect!!!!!!!"

Flights After Cruise

"Can anyone tell me what time they arrived at the Orlando airport from the port when they took a Disney transfer?

We have a 1230 flight out on the 24th and I am debating a rental car or the DCL transfer--which would be faster.

Does DCL check luggage for you if you go with the transfer?"
