Doncha just love Thorntons Toffee? I used to buy pounds of 'fruit and nut' toffee every time I went to England (from Germany, where we lived)

I know what you mean LOL's

Thornton's fudge is also a nice alternative to the toffee, no sucking needed :rotfl:

I love fudge, but there is something about it that makes it seem much more fattening than the toffee. Maybe it is the ease of eating it!!!:rotfl2:

Good luck for tomorrow, I am starting again on Tuesday when I go to my weigh in. :scared1:

Actual cruise-related question here! Does anyone know about religious services onboard? Dennis is Catholic and would like to know if there is Mass either Saturday evenings or Sunday mornings. I said I didn't think there would be a "resident priest" onboard, but I'd ask the experts here.

Oh, and what's "banoffee pie?"

There aren't any Catholic Masses, but sometimes there is a multi faith meeting and the format very much depends on the person they have leading it. I know on one cruise there was a Priest cruising and he agreed to hold Masses, but there is nothing official.

From the DCL website under Onboard Services:
Question
Does the ship provide religious services?
Answer
During certain religious holidays, onboard clergy perform services. Check your Personal Navigator for more information, including locations and times.

Banoffee pie from Wikepedia:
Banoffee pie (also spelled banoffi, or banoffy) is an English pastry based dessert made from bananas, cream, toffee from boiled condensed milk (or dulce de leche), either on a pastry base or one made from crumbled biscuits and butter. Some versions of the recipe also include chocolate and/or coffee.
Its name is a portmanteau constructed from the words "banana" and "toffee".

Spot on Noel .... that is exactly what it is ....

Looks a bit like this .....

John was waist 32". His tux fitted very well, though John isn't skinny!! I do believe they keep some spares onboard in case of problems.

We are thinking of pre ordering from http://www.cruiselineformal.com/ This was we don't have to worry about size issues as they have a tailor on board as well.

They work first with DCL so pretty good I think and only like 100 bucks....
