I am no expert on FEs, but I expect one post would attract a lot of interest. In terms of organizing a FE, just ask for the cabin number and the ages and first names of the occupants in your initial post. Have them send you their email address by private message. Then put that info in a list and email it to everybody on the list. Perhaps somebody else in your new group would be willing to do that for your group if you don't feel you can.

If I have missed anything, perhaps somebody on this thread could correct me.

Hi everyone.

I'm new here and just figured out recently what an FE was. This is our first Disney cruise and I would love to participate. I know my 3-year old daughter would love it.

I know I am WAAAAAYY late to this, but I was just wondering if anyone has dropped out for any reason. If so, I would love to be a last minute addition to take their place. If not, no problem, I know it is a long shot, but i thought that it can't hurt to ask.

I can not speak for the group, but would not mind adding your daughter to my list. I am not in charge of the FE, and I think the majority are already done with their gifts. How many are in your group and do you have a cabin number?

Have you thought about creating your own FE (that is, a second one for this cruise)? I bet if you post on the cruise meet thread for September 1, 2012, you will find plenty of others interested in joining.

I do not mind starting a new FE group if there is no room in this one, but I am not really sure how to do it. I'm not sure where to start.

It is just me, my husband, and my 3 year old daughter. Do you think I could get a few people interested this late in the game? Any advice any of you can give me would be much appreciated.

I have received a couple of emails from families asking to join our group after the cutoff date and have turned them away, so I do not feel it is fair to add anyone new as others have already been turned away.

Our FE group decided to close the group to any new families as of July 4th. Several people, including myself, have already finished our gifts and have them labeled, packed and ready to go. Others have ordered their gifts and cannot get more in time, before sailing.

I think the best option is for 2nd FE group to be started. I can email those that have asked to join late, and let them know a second group may be started and to look for it.

I have read several posts in the last week which noted that some people signed up for FEs and then did not give gifts. I thought at first it was justconfusion caused by kids stealing things, but apparently at least some of the situations have involved intentional conduct by adults.

I doubt anybody in our little group is planning to do this, and I would give them gifts even if they did (I think we all can agree that it is better to give than receive when it comes to FE gifts). However, I think everybody should try to deter such conduct by labeling FE gifts. I know I bought 100 tie on labels (sort of like really small price tags with a string attached to each) for 99 cents at Walmart and am planning to use those, plus some homemade address labels with our family's name.

I don't care whether my family gets gifts from everybody, but I don't like the fact that some people are taking advantage of others' generosity in this way. If they know they will be caught in the act because gifts are labeled, I doubt they will do it. Just my view, of course.

Also, if somebody has my gifts stolen from their fish extender, as sometimes happens, I personally want to know so I can do something for that family.

Agreed! All of our gifts are labeled that they are from us. Same for my parents (RCCLWW).

Im not sundaygirl -but I am pretty sure that room is all adults - parents or inlaws perhaps ... I was scouring this thread yesterday to make sure I make enough "adult" gifts and i have them down as a couple with 2 adult children

Agreed! All of our gifts are labeled that they are from us. Same for my parents (RCCLWW).

We will label ours as well. I plan on putting a sticker with "This magnet belongs to Rm 8122" on our magnets in case they wander away. Bringing zip ties to attach the FE too . . . that is if I ever get it finished

I totally understand. I agree that it would not be fair to add someone this late being that others have also inquired and that many of you have finished your gifts.

I think there is some confusion as to what the two threads are for.

This thread is solely for our FE information. Originally it was to sign up to participate in the FE exchange, but now this group is CLOSED because of the overwhelming demand.

This thread should now be used just to relay information to each other. It needs to be left open in case there are any changes before we sail, as we are all leaving at different times and may not have access to get information. Please set your settings to receive alerts when there is a new post to the thread, so you are aware that people is posting, if you are not checking it often.

PLEASE DO NOT GIVE OUT MY EMAIL ADDRESS TO ANYONE. I have received emails from people trying to join our group. I believe there is an additional FE exchange thread being set up a new group. They should ask to join the second FE group as our group has been closed for awhile now.

The original September 1st Fantasy Thread is where the meet has been set up, people have asked questions, chatted and are getting to know each other.

i have noticed throughout this thread that you have seemed to get a little upset about what gets posted on here, anything wrote on here is not causing any harm and it is up to the individual to check this post

the majority of us i presume are happy for this thread to stay open and for us to communicate through this, i also read the other thread too, but i feel as im delivering gifts to you all that i am more friendly with you.

and i also feel it is not my place to ask for a thread to be closed or to ask that people change where they would like to post

like i said i do not want to cause an argument but i would really like this thread to be kept open, mainly incase things change
