Seperate check-in for suites at HNY?

Sorry, but I did apologise earlier on that i'd be asking all sorts of daft questions...

OK, so we've splashed out on a resort suite at HNY (although am still holding out for a cancellation at the Disneyland). Is there a seperate check-in desk/secret handshake we can use to save waiting in the regular line? OK, so it might not be fair, but that mouse has taken a fair chunk of change off me for the priviledge so if there's an added benefit out there, i'd like to be using it!

Many thanks

Tony

Not too sure about this at all Tony - I've never stayed at HNY! Hopefully if not the other perks of staying here will make up for it - fingers crossed for the DLH for you!

I can't say I have seen separate check in for staying in a suite at the HNY whenever I have stayed there.

OK,

so here's what happened. Got over to the hotel about 1.30pm - no queue at reception so straight to the desk. They couldn't find my reservation, but then I mentioned I was in a suite and the whole game stepped up a gear. They have the suite reservations in a seperate box so pulled that out then started making some frantic phone calls.

I was then introduced to the duty manager who took me to the room which was already ready (family were waiting outside the park) and showed me around.

We got a gift of a wooden disney picture frame and a half bottle of chilled champagne was delivered to the room too.

Great view over the lake from the 8th floor.

Will post some other musings about the trip when I get a chance, but we were certainly left feeling quite loved with booking a suite!

Thats great service! if you don;t mind me asking roughly how much did you pay for a suite? I have always wanted to stay in a suite at HNY.

Great news. We were spoilt in this way too. We went to the preview for WDS in 2002, and booked a normal room at the HNY. When we went to check in, the duty manager came and introduced himslef, took us up to the 8th floor (they upgraded us to a lakeview suite) and presented us with some souvenir glasses filled with sweets and a half bottle of champagne). One of the many reasons why we love the HNY!!!

We paid just over £1000 for two nights including two 2 day park passes. The kids were both free and as I understand it the upgade to the lake view was free as that's all they had left when we booked. It was a resort suite (i.e. seperate living and sleeping area with door in between) as opposed to the honeymoon suite which I understand is a junior suite and I think was £100-£200 cheaper for the stay.

This was over the bank holiday weekend and booked about 2 weeks in advance, so we were lucky to get anything at all! Also bear in mind that suite prices seem to be flat throughout the year, so they work out better value in the high season (about double the cost of a normal room) than low season (over three times the cost).
