Seperate Charging Privileges?

I'm leaving soon for WDW trip with my wife and MIL. I know we can put charging privileges on our room keys that will go on my charge card. Can my MIL put charging on her key with her own charge card?

If the reservation is all one name... you could all charge to the room but you wouldl have to personally break out what she spends...she could then pay that amount at the front desk...and you could pay the remainder with your card...

Each card is identified by a number on the room folio...i do this with my kids all the time...it takes a few minutes but it works..

If you are all staying in the same room, the charges will all be on the same bill; so different credit cards would not be debited.
I went through this with Disney on the last trip: we even had two rooms, thus there shouldhave been two bills. Needless to say it took six trips to Guest Services to get all of the charges sent to the proper room account. Worse we had split reservations for the stay, and the dollars we prepaid were lost in the computer: it took three days to find the advance payment and get it sorted out.
IMHO it is best that your MIL use cash.

Tried to use 2 different credit cards for room charging on one trip as well...and the credit for the room got messed up, so I wouldn't try that again.

However, you will notice on your room key/charge card...they all will have the name of the primary person on the reservation, but then there are numbers and cards will end in "01", "02", etc. As long as you don't mix up your room keys/charge cards, you can assign a specific number to your MIL, and when the itemized bill comes at the end of your stay, you can see what was charged specifically to each card. That way you can split it up accordingly.
