sepeprate checks for people in same room?

My sister and her boyfriend will be staying with us when we go down in August. We are all on the dining plan.. when we go to dinner/lunch would can we get seperate checks even though we are all at the same table on the same room reservation?

Even if you wanted to pay some with credits and other OOP, you could still do that on one check.

Exactly, you're all in the same room and you are all using the dining plan, why do you want separate checks? I can't imagine why you would need them unless you want to calculate the tip this way. Anything you order off-plan is going to be on a separate check anyway.

If you are thinking it will keep you from paying the automatic 18% for groups of six or more, it won't, as long as you sit at the same table and/or register as the same group and have the same server.

I am sure you can ask them to separate out the checks if you really want to, but you may have to present two key cards.

A simple solution would be to just put your tips on your room charge. You can get a copy of your bill on your last night and just have your sister and her boyfriend pay their share. A simple method would be to have them just pay for 2/7 of the total tip bill.

I didn't even think about the automatic 18%.. to be honest we usually tip 20%.. just easier math.. .. But thanks for all the suggestions.. I think we will just get the calculator app on phone and figure it out!!
