separate reservations and meal plans ?

I have not found the answer to this. There are 7 of us going, 5 adults and 2 children. DH, DGS and I are on one reservation with regular dining plan. DD, DD and sil staying in another resort with the deluxe DP. Is it possible to pool our TS credits to use as a group? Or will it be split up based on the number of individuals on the reservation?
Some of the time our grandsons will be with us and other times with their parents.

You will have a hard time sharing the credits as you can only deduct credits with the KTTW card which will have the number of guests on the DXDP and the other cards will have the number of guests on the DDP.

So if I read your post correctly your KTTW card will have 2 adults and 2 children listed on it with the DDP. The other room will have KTTW cards with 3 adults on it with the DxDP. So if everyone goes out to eat at a TS meal they can only deduct the same # of credits from the KTTW cards. They can't deduct extra from the card that has 3 adults (DxDP) as the most they can take off is 3 meals.

Your server will be happy to split the checks appropriately. Just be sure to let him or her know who is on what plan when you order.

All you have to do is make sure that if you have the kids you also have their key to the world cards with their dining credits on them. They will have to ring the bill up on 2 transactions since there are 2 different rooms/dining plans but I don't that should be a problem. You can call 1-407-WDW-DINE to make sure this is correct.

Thanks for all the responses. It would help if I would stop playing with reservations, etc.
We decided to do it this way to cut down on the amount of food, but dh is ready to just go back to dxdp for all of us to simplify life! As long as I know the grandsons need their own kttw, that works perfectly. No matter how we split we are all covered.

No, it's not possible to pool credits between reservations, nor can you use your key card to pay for more meals than you have people on your individual reservation (same for them).
