Separate Hotels?

My family is going to DW in Sept/October. Our granddaughter, from the UK, will be meeting us there! The only snag is she will be in a different hotel, off site. Does anyone have tips/ strategies for meeting up? It would take forever for her to get a shuttle to the park, and then a bus to our hotel (PC). Is it easier to meet inside the parks somewhere? At the entrances? I'm not sure if her cell phone will work over here, so we will need a good plan. I am sure some areas get pretty congested, which could make it hard to find each other. Any ideas?

I would think your best bet would be to meet at the icons to each park at a predesignated time; the castle at the MK, the sorcerer's hat at HS etc. Easy places to find and one trip on a bus for all!
