Sep 8-18 - Good Time to Go?

I'm considering a 10 day trip to Disney World. I'm pretty flexible with dates/timing but my main priority is minimizing crowds (and yes I know there is no such thing as a super quiet time to go anymore). But, if you had to pick a time to go based on minimizing crowds, would Sep 8-18 be that time?

Yes crowds should be at about the lowest they will be the than rest of the year.
I may go around that time as well, but I’m really concerned about the oppressive heat and humidity during September. It may be the only chance in 2020 that I can take my grandsons, though, so it may happen.

That's definitely a concern. I handle heat well so not a huge issue for me but nobody wants to join me in September, lol.

I always go at the end of April with pretty low crowds and the weather is great. I want to go during food and wine so I booked a trip for September 26-October 3 this year. Hoping for low crowds and some type of discount that I never get in April.

I would go first week of May if I didn't have school schedules to deal with. September is too hot, too humid and there are too many Halloween parties. I also don't want to deal with hurricane chances.

We've been 9/1-9/8 before. Low crowds, but the weather was just brutal.

It is hot as... Quoting Stevie Wonder here: "It's hotter than July." But if that's when you can go, by all means go for it. One thing you can do is consume plenty of frozen drinks.

September, especially right after labor day, is a great time to go. It will be hot and it will probably have the afternoon showers daily. But the crowds are much lower. The F&WF will be going on so avoid Epcot on the weekends. Have fun.

we did just that and it was too hot ..we thought we could do it but it's hard to enjoy at 95 degrees and humid...trying end of jan.2021 next

We went last year. The fear of the hurricane kept a lot of people away even though it was only rain while we slept one night. So, our first week we didn't even need fast passes for anything, it was all walk on. Best trip ever. I don't like the heat, and yes it was super hot. We took lots of breaks, sat in air conditioned shows we usually skip, lot's of cold beverages. We also realized we needed to take pictures early in the day because we were hot, sweaty messes later on and looked horrid. LOL

For me weather is the #1 factor for deciding trips to WDW, #2 is crowds. Our last two trips and our upcoming one have all been between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Late January would also be good but the added benefit of Christmas decorations is a plus. Mid-Sept would be great for crowds, but the heat and humidity would suck the enjoyment right out of me. Much easier to cope with crowds, lines, etc with moderate temps. And no scientific proof but I imagine that overall everyone else there is also less irritable when the temps are lower, I know for me I am much more easily irritated in the heat of summer.

Same! Did Universal last few days of September one year to get the lower HHN crowds and we were miserable the entire time. Never again!

To the OPs question - the time you are looking at is the very last sliver of low crowds. Perfect if that’s your #1 concern.
