Is Disboards the only place u can join an FE group? Since we are on the 4th list and no one else has joined it I'm just wondering if there is another message board I can join? I have a backup plan if there is not but just wanted to ask.

Hi all!! I am new to this thread and am cruising this date as well! Super excited! (Obviously new to posting, too as I can't figure out for the life of me how to get a picture in that box over there!!! Ha!!)

Anyway, Cira99, did you find another group that was doing the FE? I think my kids would love to do this and hate that I am just finding out about this! Would love to take part!!

:welcome:

To be able to add an avatar you have to post I believe 10 times. Then there will be an option available to change your picture.

You can add your name to DIS list 4 and there still may be more late comers to join. There is another list on a popular social media site (sorry to be cryptic, but DIS rules say we can't talk about other social sites). All you have to do is search our cruise date and you should be able to find the group. :-)

Question the overpaying mommy in me wasn't to pack meds (like tylenol, motrin, pepto, benadryl, kids dramamine, etc) are these allowed to be brought on?? I hate to have them thrown away if we can't bring them

I think you have to post so many times before you can add the picture :) So glad you joined the group :D

Sounds like my packing list. I can't find anything directly from Disney that states those items are not allowed. And I've seen plenty of people talking about what over the counter meds they took with them, so my guess is that it is fine. I'm making a little first aid kit to take with all of those things and packing it in my carry on.

Thanks for the warm welcome and for the tips for this Newbie!! :) So very excited and doing research every day to make this the most "Magical" trip ever! Still have several "Do I do this?" Or "Should I do that!?" 's to figure out but all in all, I am just ready, ready, ready for it to be September!!

Welcome to the group! I've been on here several months and still trying to figure out how to work this thing pirate: At the top right you will see Brunsta, then Inbox,

I took every over the counter medication known to man with us in Dec. Didn't have any trouble taking it on or off the boat. And we needed the drugs too...my youngest ended up very sick.

I'm starting to feel on the ball! Our passports are on their way, Jake has a new suit, all the adult FEs are done for mom and I, most of the kids' FEs are done, and I've started packing (stuff we won't use till the cruise)! Really trying to avoid waiting till the last minute to get everything done. Especially since Anna starts school in a month and I have shopping to do for that!

I need to do school shopping also. The supply list just came out for my kids, and then they both need clothes. Plus cheer shoes, bows, bags, etc. are being ordered. On top of that, I need to get clothes for school and for the cruise for myself yet. I've ordered 4 t shirts, but I need to get some capris and nicer shirts for dinner. I am not doing fancy because it's a waste of money for me. I live in scrubs for work and t shirts and shorts or jeans at home. Then property tax bills came :( Good thing the cruise is paid off, and I have $750 of Disney gift cards for spending!!

That's a lot of shopping! We are waiting for Ohio's tax holiday to buy school clothes and supplies, so I have a couple of weeks before I start school shopping. :teacher:

We have everything we need now for the cruise (probably more than we need). My family is doing the optional dress up because we don't have many opportunities to do it anymore. I think the last time I dressed up was for my wedding! We are going cocktail formal, so short dresses for the women and suits for the guys. My hubby really needed a suit so this was finally the excuse to actually get him to buy one.!

I'm debating the optional dress up! Will probably take the clothes but wont stress if it doesn't happen!

So we took dresses in Dec. George didn't take a suit...he is so not a suit guy. I felt like we were so over dressed every single night. We were just in casual dresses, nothing fancy at all. I don't think I even saw any men in suits or with a tie on. I didn't look very hard and we didn't eat at Remy or Palo. Maybe that's where all the dressed up people go. I'm so not stressing about bring nice clothes this time. A little sun dress for the girls is as fancy as we're going.

I don't expect there to be many people dressed up. Especially since it is a 4 night cruise. It sounds like the longer cruises have more people participate in the dress up night. That's why our dresses are not crazy fancy. Mom's is a simple black dress and mine is a chiffon with the high low back. The guys will probably wear their suits without ties (at least my husband will). The girls' dresses are simple enough to go to church in. Nice but not glitzy.
