On the staterooms what does GTY stand for? I feel like i read it somewhere, but i can remember.

It means "guaranteed" Room where you pay the minimal amount for a room and if all those rooms sell out before the cruise you get bumped up to the next category room that's the advantage. The disadvantage is if there is rooms available you stay in that category you paid for. I think that is what that means

they do to me they are a little pricey and they push there products like car salesman. For special occasions would work like a Mother daughter thing. I'm with Amanda I can take it or leave it. The one and only one I had I don't know about other guys on here but when a female stranger is rubbing me with oil I lose all control. :o :thumbsup2:banana::earseek: LOL :lmao::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl2:::yes::

:rotfl2: OK thanks for the info :goodvibes

Just a reminder for those of you starting to gather stuff to pack don't forget a plastic zip tie (to tie your FE to the fish) They have been known to come up missing before. Also a pair of fingernail clippers (to cut the zip tie off)

I see some people have already started packing  (you overachievers you)
for first time cruisers :boat:what is something we may need to pack but are not thinking about
party:

anything you take for granted. Examples Benadryl, itchy cream, head ache medicine, small first aid kit, Q tip's, extra sunglasses, finger nail clippers, batteries for what ever your taking i.e.. camera, night light for the little ones. I'm sure I'm forgetting about a lot of things

OK great that helps didn't think of a few of those :smooth::flower1:

Ok that's right, so when we know a definite room # then that will be updated on the fe. Thanks! We debated doing that, but the wife didn't want to risk ending up on one of the ends of the ship (she got a touch of motion sickness on our first cruise, and because of it trys to stay mid ship now)

I don't take any they were provided at Castaway Cay and you just return them before getting back on the ship.
I was thinking about taking my own towel. I like a towel that goes all the way around me. Jake and the girls can use the provided towels. They have towels available by the pools, don't they? To be honest, I may not swim much. I think the girls will spend more time at Nemo's Reef than the pools unless we find a time that the kids' pools are not "kid soup". The only time I might swim on the ship is when the girls are at Oceaneer's Club and I can visit the adult pool.

Love the family pictures!! That will help a lot when it comes time for the ice cream social.
I thought it was more interesting than the line of names and ages as my signature. Plus, on DIS the pictures do not get very big. Kind of hard to see what people look like...:magnify:

We didn't take any beach towels. They have towels provided by the pool, etc. We didn't want to take up space in our suitcase with towels.

On the night light - I recommend the battery operated tea light to go in the bathroom. I got the really big one from dollar tree.

I don't even know how you even put those pictures on there. They look great!!

Great idea for tea light in bathroom

I love that!! How did you do it???
I use the photo editing site, PicMonkey. I set the size of my design to fit my signature (which ended up being 175 pixels wide so I didn't cut off my countdown). Then I added our individual pictures to the design canvas, separated each picture with a divider, and added text. It sounds more complicated than it is. I uploaded the picture to photobucket and then used the direct link in my signature.
