Sep. 7, 2015 on the Dream

Hoping to do both lists as well, if funds are right.

Did I read the FE list will be final after PIF on 6/28? The wait is killing me. I want to be making list, sorting bags, getting it all ready!

My husband has finally come to the realization that we will have a piece of luggage dedicated to just FE. Glad he's finally clued into that!

FE and the cruise is discussed in our house every single day. Makes me so happy!

I've heard the same thing about opened bottles of alcohol being confiscated in customs. That's another reason we stuck with shooters. There is no way we'd finish an entire bottle of anything (unless we shared).

So if anyone has booze they need to consume the last night, we could have a big party in Joe's room pirate:
I was wondering about that. I know Jake would not be happy if we lost half a bottle of alcohol! I don't know why I didn't think about the little bottles! Thanks again! :drinking1

I know it is hard, Misty.....but 6/28 will be "list day". We attempted a finalization before and as people joined our board it was hard to throw them into another group. That is what happens when you have a bunch of people with such good hearts......no one wants anyone to feel left out! :grouphug: So that date was picked because the paid in full date will have come, and we will be a little less likely to have drop outs (and wasted personalized gifts). Right now I am looking at possibly splitting the list into 3 (totally up for discussion, and not set in stone). We currently have 26 staterooms (25 if Tony has to reschedule his trip) and I have seen 3 families (myself included) that plan on being involved with every stateroom on our board, so that will make close to 10 staterooms per list.

If you want to get started now, feel free.....you can bet that kids the same age as your munchkins will be with you, with at least 2 adults per stateroom. Start what you can, just save the personalization for later (if you are personalizing) That's what several of us (that couldn't wait to get started :hyper:) are doing.

So gad to here your FIL is doing well!!!!

We've been wanting to Discovery Cove, Aquatica, and Sea World. If you are staying on property after the cruise it would be easy to add the water parks and more option and go to a Disney water park and DTD and Quest (some people don't like Quest, but we do :))

As far as alcohol goes, I plan to drink at least one DOTD daily! Otherwise, we are flying in and using Disney transportation to and from the world, so no grocery stop. My husband and I are planning to bring a wide variety of mini bottles. This will allow us to mix it up without bringing a ton of bottles on. I am like you, not a big drinker, just want to relax. Plus, I don't know what I will feel like when I'm on board, so I will bring several bottles of Sailor Jerry, several Bacardi in case I want to go fruity, vodka for the classic screwdriver, etc. I think this will be the easiest way to pack it, and allow me to have options.

The mini bottle thing is such a great idea! I am totally going to do that......

:cool1:I'm so happy that your FIL is doing well! That is wonderful!

I haven't been in Florida since I was 9, so I have no opinion about where you should go after our cruise. Good luck with your planning!

I am planning on bringing a bottle of rum for mixed drinks. I debated on bringing wine for dinner, but I can not deal with the $20 corking fee. So I will probably just not drink at dinner. My husband may want to bring some beer in his carry on, but I've stayed out of those plans!

Make your drinks in the cabin and than bring them to dinner :)

That is a great idea! Is it true that we can't take an open bottle off of the ship? I thought I read something about customs that you can only take unopened items on and off the ship. If that is the case, I was worried about bringing a whole bottle of rum. I don't know that my hubby and I can finish that in four days! lol. The travel bottles are a great idea! Even just to be able to throw a couple in my bag.

Jake and I are talking about booking a placeholder while on board. We are interested in the 7 night Eastern Caribbean that stops in Tortola and St. Thomas. We would go Sept. 2017. Now we just need to decide if we are going to go for it or not!:sail:

You don't need to bring cups you will have some in your FE. Not the greatest but should work.

Yep it might me cheaper if we just past the bottle around. I do have connecting rooms. party::drinking1:drinking1:banana::cool1:

Amber, I'm sorry I made you type so much. What you said makes perfect sense...just excited. Come on September!

Don't be sorry....it's no problem at all! Trust me, I get it!! I am beyond excited as well!! My poor hubby doesn't get excited about things really, so he just doesn't understand what all the fuss is about, LOL!! He thinks I am insane, but thanks to the super excited folks in this group I know that HE is the one that is nuts!

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:Right now I have FE gifts in the making all over my kitchen table...lol No room to eat = Dinner in the living room...I just laugh:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
Uh-oh! Does that mean that your family has to eat in the living room till September? :lmao:Luckily, I have a studio to keep all of my projects in the making or I would have items all over my mantle, entertainment center, bookshelves, etc.
