Sep. 7, 2015 on the Dream

We have early seating, in all my past cruises we always did late seating. It just always felt like I was going to bed so full. Since sailing DCL we have done early and enjoyed it.

I was hoping that on this cruise they would role our a FLR rate. It seems this sailing is popular so I don't for see that happening yet...lol

We can start booking excursions etc... as early as June 9th :( Wish it was sooner :)

Thank you Lady Duchess for keeping the ice cream list rolling this weekend! Made the trip home to visit my mom. Lots of hours in the car, but well worth it! I told the kids the drive was prep for our drive to Florida. That eased the pain a little.

OMG there are almost 50 of us already :)

I had thought about making one, but then I added up the cost of the material, appliqués, money for someone to embroider our names......then I tripled it because I know that I would screw it up. It was just cheaper for me to order it. Not to mention the major frustration I saved myself! There was one on Etsy that I have had my eye on for the longest, so I finally decided to go for it. :boat:
I managed to make both of my extenders for $15 ($12 for the canvas bags and $3 for the panels, ribbon, paint). But I relied heavily on my ability to paint/draw everything so that reduces the cost. I just couldn't spend $40+ for someone else to make them, even though the ones on Etsy are BEAUTIFUL! You will have to post pictures when it arrives!

Ok gang here is a question can I get some feed back from you? Main dinning or second dinning? and did you chose this based on your normal time to have dinner? the show times? times we'll get back on the ship? deck party times? or because of any other reason? I know they are going to have trick or treat one night does anyone know if the counselors take them? I'm thinking the 8:00 dinner is that going to be to much of a rush with all the activities going on? I love the dinners and that's my rule for my cruises is that we at least sit down as a family for dinner. They can ignore me the rest of the day.LOL
I chose main dining because we normally eat supper at 5-5:30. Plus our cruise will be in our normal time zone. I decided that if the girls get antsy, I will just take them to the kids club myself. I didn't want everyone snacking till late seating and then have no room for supper! lol

I think both dinning times has its advantages and disadvantages. I think I'll stick to main dinning just because some will snack before dinner and then not want to go to dinner.

That is where I was at when I was deciding. I knew if we had late seating, the kids would basically end up skipping supper and I really wanted all of us to eat as a family. I also want to enjoy the MDRs! I would be starving if I waited to eat at 8pm.

I'm really curious about this year's Nightmare Before Christmas showing. On previous navigators, they described it as a 3-D experience. This year, I saw an article that described it as a 4-D event and showed a clip of Jack and Sally emerging up through a stage with fog and confetti. So I'm thinking that the characters may have more involvement in the show this year than in the past. So I am probably going to take my three year old to see the show. I figure at the worst, she's fall asleep or melt down and then we will just leave. If she makes it through I know she will love it!

Does anyone have a navigator from last year so we can find out what days will have activities/shows?
