Sep. 7, 2015 on the Dream

Its not just the Mom's with 2/3 year olds that need a vacation after a vacation. It just grows into Drama as they get older. Can anyone else relate to that?
Look at all of this free therapy we are getting!

I have 2 girls and oh yes the drama. We are not even to hormone driven insanity yet. Have mercy on us when we get there.

The first "I hate you" was given to me this year by my then 8 year old and it was really painful. There have been a couple since then and they weren't as bad.

My girls were big on locking their doors which is against the rules in our house. My almost 7 year old now has a dummy door knob on her door because she broke that rule too many times. She is my dramatic child. She has sarcasm nailed (no idea where she got that :rolleyes1) and her comedic timing is amazing.

We also have a no door slamming rule in our house. The girls are fully aware that they will not have a door if that cross that line to many times.

What other rules do I need to get established?

I remember when my kids they all do it tell you they hate you and for me I took it hard also My parents said its one of those things called pass it on. So now we know Misty is sarcastic that's new. I like your rules too!!

NO eye rolling or "whatever"s.........:rolleyes2
No telling each other to shut up, either.....that makes me insane.
The kiddos don't have locks on their doors, but door slamming isn't allowed either. I have really only had to enforce that one on the little one for some reason (He is my temperamental one:headache:). I managed to make it through teenage years with our 2 oldest and 10 years with our girl without having that problem.
I haven't gotten an "I hate you" yet. I can only imagine that being like a stab to the heart......I am sure I will get it from my super dramatic one at some point, though :scared:

Oh ya I forgot the shut up one and then they say it with a sarcastic voice too. My son was on this kick of saying "ya ya ya I know" all the time I think he finally landed back on earth with my boot attached to him.

I like the idea of removing the door! The door slamming is new for her and only happens when the DRAMA is at a peak, but man is it annoying and nothing has worked so far to stop it.Having no door will definitely work!! I actually just told her and she just stared at me :rotfl2::rotfl2: No one locks doors here thank goodness, but we did have it accidentally happen when Caleb was about 2 maybe (not real sure, when do they start turning knobs, it was before that) We had to take apart the knob to get in to him. Then we put it on backwards so he wouldn't lock himself in. People used to ask if we locked him in there because the lock was on the outside then :)

At least we had no added drama in the house today. Carly made the 15/16 Jr. High cheer squad!!

Hey so did y'all watch the special they did on The Food Network with DCL-Dream about a month ago?? If there is a way possible, y'all go back and watch it. Gets you so darn giddy!! My mom was watching and was super impressed with it. In the excitement of it all, i asked if she wanted to go too. Fortunately, she said no. (I love my mom to pieces but a week [total of being on vacay] with her would be too much). Anyway, if it airs again or you can find it on demand, i HIGHLY recommend watching it. Especially for the folks that have anyone in their fams that just don't get it.

And btw, i have even gotten so excited for being able to check in and book port excursions. (Which is a month from today for us being rookie DCL cruisers). So giddy!!!! Lol!!!

I am not sure where to get them on DIS, but I know you can. You may just have to search "magnets" in the search box. I got all of ours on the site that shall not be named.....I will tell you that most designers will only do them for you, your spouse, and your kids. They will not do them for large parties.

We have a store here in Houston called Five Below. It's similar to a dollar store and they always have general Disney magnets. Nothing personalized though.

Sorry to be so dense but what is this site that "shall not be named"? Can ya give me a hint or rhyming word? Lol!

I ordered my prints from Lady B over on the cruise forum. She personalizes them and everything. Now all I have to do is print them out :)

Thanks for the replies. I need about 4 magnets. I want to have them personalized with family names on them. If anyone has any great companies names please let me know. I have been enjoying following along with everyone and there plans. We are planning on doing the Comfort Suites to the Atlantis and just enjoying Cast away Cay. Looing so forward to this vacation. We will be in Disney World the full week before the cruise staying at All Star Music with the free dining plan.
