Sep. 7, 2015 on the Dream

Lol! You can help me!! I feel like I'm so far behind everyone else. This week my plan is to get all of the magnets made. I think it's going to end up way cheaper if I just have photos printed like you did. I think I have a Walgreens code to use :) I also still haven't placed my Amazon order! I have twelve things sitting in my cart. One thing did go down $5 so that was nice :D

I think Melissa was switching up her dining for something to do, lol!! I did that myself a little bit, too ;)

What do you guys decorate your doors with? Magnets?

:grouphug:
Hey everyone! I have a lot to catch up on, hope I didn't miss too much. I tragically lost a good family friend of mine a couple of weeks ago and still trying to cope. I suddenly have lost my excitement for the cruise, and I'm trying to some how build it back up especially for my children. Its been a hectic two weeks, but I decided today I can no longer put anything off so off to FE shopping for me I go! Its not what I originally planned on doing but at this point, I don't want to really overwhelm myself. Sorry for the "downer" post just wanted to check in with you guys. I'm hoping by reading the comments I can start to get excited again.
Monica, I am so sorry for your loss! Take it day by day. I hope the cruise can be a bright spot for you.

Cannot believe this time in two weeks we will be on our way to Nassau aboard the Dream!

We have been absent for awhile and hope we have not missed out on much. If there was anything major that happened from page 128-185, please let us know ;)

FE are done, gifts made and packed. Our parents will be staying in the cabin next to us and we are surprising them with their own FE; but they aren't on anyone's list. So if anyone wants to throw pixie dust their way for their 50th wedding anniversary, feel free. They promise us that they will participate on our 2016 cruise. (They are bringing gifts for us to pass out to everyone in our group in addition to ours)
Jon, can you share their (first) names and room number? 50th anniversary is awesome!!!!

:welcome:The FE lists are officially closed, but if you want to share who you are traveling with and your stateroom # there are several of us that have extras that we are planning to pixie dust. I know there are several people that are making a point to leave gifts to those who participate on the thread!

Oh we are in room 10588. After reading almost all 185 pages I'm feeling a little panicky! You guys have planned so much and I feel like I've done nothing! My travel agent did't tell me anything so I've been piecing plans together on my own by researching online. This is supposed to be a our big splurge vacation to clelebrate all our birthdays and I'm afraid I've completely blown it with the planning. I'm usually a very good plan ahead girl but thought most plans were made once you got on the ship. Boy was I wrong! I know it will still be magical but just want to get the most out of it!

There is a lot that you can plan before you get on the ship, but honestly if all you did was book the cruise, you will still have a great time. We are not going to any of the adults only restaurants on board and we did not book any excursions. At Nassau, we are just doing some light shopping and may walk down to Junkanoo Beach (a free, public beach that is walking distance from the ship). At Castaway, we are hanging out at the beach and the girls will probably go to Scuttle's Cove (the included club for kids on the island). So don't feel bad! You won't miss out!

i just read on a pinterest post that as of Aug 2015 they would no longer offer Mickey Mail and allow you to get gear autographed and delivered back to your room. Does anyone know if this is true? I just oredered monogrammed pillow cases!

Welcome to the board! You are in for a magical time when you cruise Disney!

We do not get seasick. Today's cruise ships are equipped so that you hardly feel any movement.

We make our own door decorations and attach magnet strips to the back. If you are staying in a concierge stateroom, you will need better quality/thicker magnets. We printed our decorations out and laminated them. You can find many designs on Facebook or the Internet.

The Raddison Resort is close to the port and they provide shuttle service to the port so that you can leave your car at the resort.

When you do your online check-in for the cruise, you can select a port arrival time. They started as early at 10:30.

We do pack suits in a back pack because the rooms do not open until about 2:00 or later. The less you have to carry around, the better.

Sail away party is fun and kicks off about 4:00 after the muster drill.

Last, we have two groups that were created for our cruise. One is "Disney Dream September 7, 2015". The other is "Disney Dream September 7-11, 2015". Both site have good information and videos.

And if you are not a member of the "Disney Cruising Group" may I suggest you join. Great info and tips.

Yes this is true. Unless it is "Disney Merchandise" they no longer will autograph it. We are just as disappointed because we had wooden anchors with Mickey Ears to get autographed.

Tracey, I started a list on page #1 as I come across others I will add them for everyone.

I'm not on the DIS Board FE list. Could you add us to the pixie dust list on page 1? I'm taking extra's to pixie dust those on the Disboard FE list.

Rodriguez Family Stateroom 8638: America (DM), Jose (DD), Alyzea (girl 13yrs.), Layla (girl 9yrs.) and Jayson (boy 7yrs,)
Rodriguez/Castrillon Family Stateroom 9611: Sandra (DM) and Kevin (boy 14yrs.)

Thanks! See you all in 12 days!

Pillowcases are still on the list of items you can bring. However, you need to bring them with you to all the characters to collect the autographs :)

I will be medicated the entire trip for motion sickness. This is our first cruise also and I do not want to deal with it. You will be fine not pre planning everything. You have already paid for the ship, so enjoy it!!!

Doesn't DVC have a get together before sailaway?

According to previous navigator's it is at 2p. Check the navigator when you get on board. I will see you there!!

Well, I got more stuff done today after work. All of my pixie dust is ready and packaged to be packed, and I have my maps completely ready. I printed our cruise documents out and we signed them. Most of my new clothes I bought are folded and stacked on the guest room bed. I would love to get suitcases out, but that will be a last minute thing. My little shorkie (Tinkerbell) does not like seeing luggage and our cat loves to sleep in or on it. That can wait until next Friday. For now I'll stick with laying stuff out.

6 more works!!
