Hey everyone! :wave2:

DLRP just released the dates for scheduled attraction closures from September 2006 right through to June 2007. Twenty-nine attractions will be closed during this period! This is most likely because they're really going all-out to make sure everything is perfect for the 15th anniversary.

I've sorted the closures by month here: http://www.dlrpmagic.com/guides/resort/practical/scheduledclosures/

Aside from the much-moaned-about Big Thunder closure, there's going to be lots of 2-week closures of the main attractions, plus *finally* the start of Molly Brown's long refurbishment (early September to late April!!). There's so much working being done that they're even refurbishing Liberty Arcade and the statue of liberty tableaux!! Oh, and the Studios have some closures this time aswell - aswell as a strange 3-week Tram Tour closure in November, there will be a 3-week Flying Carpets closure in March, probably so that they can do some major improvements in that area ready for the Toon Studio changeover.

I hope this helps in some trip planning, and no-one finds they're going to miss something important... ;)

ps: If you notice any mistakes on that page, let me know. I might have got mixed up sorting it all out!

Excellent, thanks for that - Good to see after all the rumours to the contrary that Molly Brown is returning :thumbsup2

Thanks for that, at least there is nothing else that is important to us closed when we go other than lion king we we knew about anyway. Also we are planning another 2 night visit in May so at least nothing is closed then we want to visit

Oh no! That means no Thunder Mountain, no Lion King and no Molly Brown!! :sad2:

Lucky us, Big Thunder Mountain will be working again by the time we go. This time we'll be able to do POTC as it was closed last summer when we were there.Julie.

Thank you for the update. Luckly nothing to bad when we are there.

Mark Twain should be running, so don't worry about the riverboats. In the official press/marketing communications they've listed the two boats seperately rather than as one attraction, so hopefully Mark Twain will continue its run throughout Winter whilst Molly gets her chargrilled hull refurbished. :teeth:

I've just seen a new programme of events on a french forum that shows TLOTLK as also being closed from 9th to 16th May 2007, so that's going on the calendar now.

Thanks for letting us know. :goodvibes

Yes, the air was pretty blue in my house when I found out about this! :furious:

Oh No I now have to explain to 6 children that small world is closed while we are there in October. OMG that most certainly will not go down well.

There was talk about changing the site of the entrance when the toon studios opened so perhaps this is for that

Thanks for the post. BTM will definitely be much missed. :grouphug: to everyone who is going while this is shut.

Oh no! Am I reading it right? Studio Tram Tours closed during my trip! :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: It's the only ride I really enjoy in the Studios and I was really looking forward to it. I can see me blowing my hopper ticket in the main park only this time

I don't think that'll happen yet - they're probably only going to move the STT station when they've built another attraction behind it, or that long-rumoured boulevard. Until then, the very bare metal canopy will stay as it is as a space filler. Hopefully when they do move the station they'll build something a bit more substantial!

I've still got no idea what this rehab is for though... I'd like to think they're changing some of the props around, but it's probably just a clean up of Catastrophe Canyon. OR.. *goes into potentially-false-rumour-spreading mode*, maybe it has something to do with Tower of Terror construction? They could be delivering the 6 elevator vehicles during these dates...
