What are your options if you have a child with sensory issues who refuses to wear their magic band? Can a parent wear it?

parent can wear for child but I would wear on other arm from yours so it is easier to tap without tapping yours

The parent can wear it on their other wrist, put it in a pocket, fasten it around a bag strap, or put it inside their park bag. Whatever is easiest for them.

you can wear yours and your childs you can also get a card and let your child carry the card

My kids like to put them on their stuffed animals. They hold their stuffed animals up to the scanner.

I second the get a card at guest relations. We did that even though my kid would wear the magic band she just refused to tap the turnstile so we used the card and it worked just as well other than having to keep getting it out putting it away.

I wore my son's on the other wrist, as suggested by someone else above. Another suggestion, if your child happens to wear pants or shorts with belt loops on them, is to hook it around a belt loop. This is how my son wears his watch - knowing the time constantly helps with his anxiety, but he usually pulled his watch WAY too tight and cut off his circulation (due to sensory issues, hating the feeling of it being loose on his wrist) so he's been wearing it in his belt loop for years now

just make sure that the child will still be able to tap it on the Fastpass reader.
Unhooking to tap and thorn rebooking will get to be a bother.

I do not plan to wear a MB much when I go since I have troubles with things on my wrists. I am probably not going until next year, but I am already trying to come up with options, such as a retractable button to attach it.

One final suggestion - you can loop the MB through a lanyard that you then wear around your neck.

No reason to wear or even use a MB. I'd just get a card if it's a problem. Or have the parent wear it.
