Sensory friendly bathroom tips

You just have a problem with a solo parent having too many kids and using the companion restroom? Companion does not mean only those with a disability. It means those who need to have someone else, like a parent with them.
Companion bathrooms are few and far between - a family with many children can access toilets in the regular bathrooms, but some guests can only access facilities in the companion bathrooms. That's my point - you can have a parent with you in the regular bathrooms, but not everyone can access the stalls in the regular bathrooms. Companion bathroom doesn't mean family bathroom either.

That's true, and so unnecessary of them - makes me want to print out "not a family restroom" signs to hang up on the doors :) Of course I'm kidding, well, sort of. It's the rule follower part of my brain - the regular bathrooms are all family friendly, and if there's a gaggle of kids with adults, they can split up. If it's one parent and lots of kids (more than 2) then maybe they should bring another adult, IMO. Their poor planning is not anyone else's problem.
There is no rule that families can’t use companion restrooms, just as there is no rule that companion restrooms are only for families.

I don’t care who uses the Companion Restrooms or accessible restroom stalls as long as they:
- leave us alone when we are using it
- don’t harass us when we come out or while we are waiting
- clean up after themselves (some people send their kids in by themselves and the kids leave a mess)
- use it as a restroom; it‘s not a room for trying out new outfits with friends OR a quiet room for a sleeping toddler (and, yes. I have seen both)

I’m going to close this thread now because it’s gotten far away from sensory friendly bathroom hints.
