Hi there :)

Ok, so my mom just told me that her and her friend are going to WDW in Feb and Universal too (because her friend wanted to go to that). My mom is a member of the "Red hat society" age wise, and she doesn't like any jerky rides.

Is Universal / IOA senior friendly?? Is there anything that my mom would like to ride? :confused3 I have NO idea about Universal because maybe it's just a preconcieved notion, but I always thought that Universal is geared more for 14 year old teenage boys than older ladies. :teeth:

Well, I am NOT an old lady......but when I am...I will still be going to universal and riding everything. Some of the rides are fast or jerky...esp. in IOA, but there are lots of shows and rides to enjoy that arent. I'm sure she'll have a blast. :sunny:

Same here. :smooth:

Are you trying to talk your mom out of this venture? Maybe you should just let her see for herself. Then she can come back and let you know what you've been missing!

Honestly, a park for "14 year old teenage boys" ? :rotfl2: That is not a big buck audience. They have to cater to the one's paying for the trip.

While I am a couple of years away from Red Hats, I would tell them to avoid Back to the Future. That was the only ride I had a problem with. I use to be able to ride it, but the last time I was so sick when I got off of it I said never again. I don't know if I have gotten older or the ride has gotten rougher.

Thanks powellrj :)

Thats more along the lines of a response I wanted to here, since I asked specifically for rides that weren't herky-jerky or scare-the-$#% out of you.

See, I'm just relaying my dms questions here, and these are not my preferences BUT HERS.. She has a circulatory problem which inhibits her from riding the rides with heart-condition warnings, and she HATES roller-coastery and scary rides.

Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything personal against Universal since a park with Sponge Bob can't be ALL bad. :cool2:

But lets face it, from what I see Universal doesn't have POC kinda family rides, there's are more in-your-face kinda stuff, which is terrific if you don't have anyone with any problems. (me! :D) I am only acting as a mediator of sorts to see if her friend should spend money here, or go to Sea World , EPCOT or MGM.

So don't think I'm just being snotty.. I really want to know a honest opinion on ride loose-your-lunchness. :sunny:
