DD is an upcoming senior and was debating doing senior pictures at disney on our upcoming trip. Has anyone had their child's senior photos done there? Any information on who to call or how to set that up? Thanks!

We thought about it but our longer trip to WDW isn't until January, so too long after graduation for my taste. We opted instead to stop in the MK for a day this summer while we were in FL for a beach trip. I just took grad cap photos myself (plus a few Photopass shots) in that hour before the park opened.

The professional shots you can have Disney take will depend on how much you want to spend. For the $499 package I think you can do shots in Epcot World Showcase before it's open to the public. You can also do AK or DHS, but don't know if it's before park open.

For $249 you can do a mini session in the MK with the castle in the background. These are after park open but done in a spot where people aren't visible. The castle is pretty far removed though.

There's also a $225 mini session done at the resorts.

If you elect to do it on your own please be courteous to other guests. We saw some
being taken at the boardwalk by a mom and dad and the daughter would go under the porch and change. Then, they would block the stairs and growl at guests walking down the steps and they had their equipment spread out across the walkway. They would try to hold people up while they set up each shot. I have no problem waiting for someone to snap a quick pic but not for someone who is taking several mins to get ready.

That's crazy! Someone always has to go too far.

I always thought that you couldn't use Disney properties for personal professional photo shoots, unless you clear it first.

I know at Disneyland, if it hasn't been cleared, and someone sets up a photo shoot, they are asked to pack up.

At WDW the Disney Fine Art Photography people (Disney people) are the ones to contact for photo shoots. I read once there might be a list of a few photographers that are allowed to do photo shoots in WDW, but I don't know where/if that list is accessible (or even exists).
