My daughter is the Vice Pres of her Senior Class. They are having a 100 Day Celebration. They will be having an indoor field day when they are 100 dyas away from graduation. She is looking for ideas for games and other fun activities. They are having a girls against the guys tug of war with a big secret. A few male teachers are dressing up as girls and will be introduced as transfer students and help the girls pull...not that they need it!!! Anyone else have any fun games they kids can do? Egg races...scavenger hunts etc...They think they are running it boys against girls and kids sign up before to participate so the games can be for a few or many. Thanks!!

At my childs elementary school, they have what they call Goofy Games.

Three legged races, leap frog, one person lays down on a skateboard on their belly with their knees bent and their knees act as a handlebar for someone who has to push them to the finish line.

Silly things like that. It may sound too immature for seniors, but I'm guessing they'd still have a lot of fun acting like little kids again. Good luck with it!

One of the games that I play with my Seniors (Citizens, that is!) is "Getting to Know You Bingo". You make a bingo board, but instead of the numbers, you have phrases like "has blue eyes" or "drives a red car". The purpose is to get the participants up and moving around the room to find out more about the people around them. This is more of an icebreaker game, but it could still be fun.

You could do a variation of Pin the Tail on the Donkey...Pin the Diploma on the Senior, perhaps.

The sillier the better!!!! Love these..please keep them coming

I'm really mad right now because I had some awesome games bookmarked on a VBS site, and I just went to get them for you and they are gone.

From what I can remember...

1. Have someone lie down, put a cone in their mouth. Someone stands above them on a stool and tries to make a sundae. Person on ground needs goggles. You could do variations of this since the ingredients are probably costly.

2. Attach alka-seltzer tablets to forehead. Again, wear goggles. Pair up and shoot at each others tablet with water guns. First one disolved wins.

3. Take Oreo apart and attach icing side to forehead. It should stick and will begin melting and sliding down face (may have to lick it to stick, can't remember). First one to get it in mouth (without hands) wins. Can move around, scrunch face, etc.

You might do a search for youth games. I found the oreo one just now on a youth pastor site. http://www.youthpastor.com/games/index.cfm/FuseAction/ResultsNew.htm

Hope this helps.

ETA: You might try these out (especially #2 & #3) to make sure they work. I've never tried them and I'm doing them from memory.

Pass the orange? Only you can't use your hands, basically pass it with it between your necks. First team to make it to the end of the line wins.

What about something involving popping balloons? You have teams, say 4 or so, and a time limit, lets say 5 minutes. You have a bunch of balloons at one end, and one person at a time goes off and pops a ballloon, has to run back and tag the next person who can run up and try to pop another balloon. Of course, you have to use your behind for this.

Egg toss? After each toss, both partners take a step backwards, to go further and further apart. Mark how far apart each person was when they drop the egg and are out, that much distance goes to the teams points, team with the most points wins.

That's pretty much all I could think of for now.

Use straws to blow ping pong balls.

Tricycle races? Wheelbarrel races? Maybe not the safest ideas for teens.

We do this at the end of outrigger races...

get 2 -2x4 nail down 6 cheap pairs of flip flops(6 shoes on each side) this is for 1 set.
Have a distance race ...say 50 yards. It's a very good team thing and working together is a must.
And a bigger hoot to watch! Our winners prizes are cookies.:rotfl2:

Ann :beach:

ahhh I PP took part of the 2 games I remember...

You have to Freeze the Oranges that makes it even more fun and they have to pass it neck to neck.

As for the Pass the Balloon, they have to rub it on their head twice put it between their legs turn around 3 times and then pass it on, then the person at the end has to sit on it and pop it.

Just trying to make it more fun for them. Good Luck!!
