Sending Postcards to Kids - Pay it Forward

Hi,

On the DIS cruise discussion, there is a "Pay-it-Forward" thread where someone who is cruising soon will send a postcard to your kids from their favorite character. When you get there, you need to send a postcard to someone else. Does this discussion forum have the same thing?

It would be a nice addition! I do it all the time for my cousins.... I'd be more than happy to send some to other youngsters or unhappy adults!

I guarantee you if you post on these boards that you need a postcard sent to a child from a character, it will get done. I've done it myself and have a small inventory of cards just for that purpose.

23 cents is a small price to make some Disney magic for a child.

Let me know if you want a character card or park card, their names and any message you want on the card. I will be leaving on Nov 26, so I will need it by Thanksgiving.

Just wanted to report... I have had 8 people reply that they would be glad to send a card for me. I have picked just one (don't want to be greedy with the magic ). I think I have sent PMs to all who responded to me. If I accidentally missed you, THANK YOU so much for being willing to do this favor for me and my family.

In regards to my promise to pay it forward, we will be in parks 11/20 through 11/24. I will be more than happy to purchase and mail postcards to three of y'all (with greetings from appropriate Disney pals, of course). Just PM with your address, names of kids, and any other info I might need to know.

We will be in the world from Nov 26th through Dec 7th, I will also have the postcard signed if possible...we are going to a few character meals, so getting Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Chip or Dale wouldn't be a problem!

remember it does not need to be your daughter, neice, granddaughter. Any child boy or girl that mabe needs a little pick me up, or just nice child you know. or even an adult, just pm any of us that said we would do this and it will be done.

It beable to give back is something I would love to do. I am so fortuante to have family that can afford to come to WDW as well as our selves, but there are so many famalies that can't. Just to beable to send them a card from their favorite character, hotel or whatever and let them dream a little is so great. Please send me some more names, I really want to do this.

Like I said in my previous post, I am more then willing to have the characters autograph the postcard too, this is what Mom and I are going to do on our trip for all the little ones that we know...so 5 more won't hurt!

Everybody keep in mind, you should allow at least a week and a half for the postcard to arrive. A little longer if you mail it from a park. Two weeks is safe...

That is why I said I will try to get the autograph, but it takes to long to tie up sending, I will sign it for them.

We are going to a character breakfast on Nov 28th and then will send them out that day.

If anyone is at WDW this week and would be able to send a postcard... we will be arriving on the 17th. I had a postcard sent through jane and the pixies for one of the girls going (she has never been to WDW) and now I think my sister is feeling a little left out.
Please, Please PM me if anyone can do this.

Also, I'll be there for a week (17-24)... send me a PM if you would like one sent. I sent one to a little girl over the summer and I think it was the highlight of my trip. Let me know if I can send one to your family.
