Sending Postcards to Kids - Pay it Forward

I forgot who I asked to send postcard to my dd but she got it and was so happy. SHe never question me on how or why she got it. SHe took it to show and tell at school on Friday. Pixie Dust to you! You are a wonderful person to take time from our vacation to do this.

Jennifer - did you still need someone? I will be at WDW on Sunday and Monday (12/12 and 12/13) A quick trip but I am so looking forward to it!! PM me - I leave first thing Sunday morning (probably around 7 or 7:30 since I have a 3 hour drive - by myself- UGH!!)

This is a great idea! I have a few weeks to go before my trip, but would be happy to send out 10 postcards! I'll be at WDW 1/05-1/11. I can't promise any character's autographs, (this is a solo trip without any character meals), but just let me know what you want the card to say and what picture!

By the way, do postcards still use the 23-cent stamp? I hope so, since I already have some of them!

Thanks to Lisa for the postcards. My kids got them today and were thrilled. They knew they were authentic because they were postmarked Orlando!

I would love it pay it forward. We will be in WDW from 12/20 through 12/26, and I would love to send some to your kids or grandma. Send me a PM and let me know what you are looking for. I'll have having dinner with Mickey and the gang at Chef Mickey's on Christmas, so I should be able to get some signatures there.

I am bumping this up in the hopes that someone is going soon that would like to send my boys a postcard from Mickey or Goofy. They will be celebrating their birthday in March at WDW, and are patiently waiting...and being very good too!!!

When we go in March, we will happily send a few cards out too!

Hi Terri, I would be happy to send your boys postcards! However, I won't be getting any autographs, so there may be someone else on here who is going to a character meal, etc. who could get that for you.

If you just want a card sent with a certain picture or message (other than autograph), just let me know! This goes for anybody else, too! I'd be happy to send out 10 postcards! I leave very early on January 5th, so I'd need to know by afternoon of the 4th, at the latest!

My son and I will be at WDW 3/23/05 - 4/1/05. I would be happy to send a few postcards if anyone would like one in this time frame. Just let me know the details. Someone on the DCL board did this for my son's best friend who was joining us on our DCL western last July. He thought it was pretty cool and he was almost 15!!

Boy oh boy i thought this was the coolest thread and couldnt wait for the postcard to come ..My kids would have been thrilled ..But the 3 people who said theyd send one did not ...How disapointing ....At least now i dont have to worry we may not be going now any ways..Those that offered and said they would a big thank you to you for not caring or what ever the reason..I even took up 2 differnt offers from poeple on here, thinking if something may happen at least i have a back up .. Oh well i even pmd them with a nice note and no responce ..Oh well they have to live with them selves ...

Wow, that's too bad. I actually received two postcards when I thought I had only contacted one individual. It did take a little longer than I would have expected - 2 weeks or so. I prefer to keep faith in the kindness of others - maybe your postcards are still on the way.

That said, your note is a reminder that I do need to pay it forward. I will be in Orlando from 2/6 - 2/11, and anyone wanting a postcard sent should send me a private meassage. I could probably do a few.

I requested 5 cards (4 Disney Crusie, 1 WDW) and they all came through. I am already sending 5 WDW cards out when we get there in 10 days and 5 more on our cruise to pay it forward.

If you still want one and can wait 10 days plus mail delivery time, PM me and I will send you cards.
