Sending postcards/letters etc.

Hi

Sorry if this sounds like a silly question but what's the deal with stamps etc. in USA? I know that when I went to Spain I got confused with the 2 different types of stamps!
Can you buy stamps at the local shops? or at Disney even? How will I know how many stamps to put on a postcard or letter?

The Disney shops all sell them and they are very organised. Put your postcard in an envelope so it doesn't get treated as low priority, otherwise you will get back to the UK before your postcards do.

The only time I stayed offsite I sent my cards from a "real" mailbox offsite (rather than one at a hotel) and my cards were home within 5 days of posting them. That was without an envelope.

I think there might be a different postage rate if you put them in an envelope so do mention that when buying the stamps.

Regular sized postcards are 98¢ to Europe. If they are oversized or odd shaped they might be more.

our Mickey shaped postcard had to go in an envelope but we posted several others without and all arrived back in the UK before us! We like to post from the scrapbooking shop in DTD as you get an 'official' WDW postmark. This year we're going to send some from WWOHP to get the owl postmark.

Go to the 'Town Hall' in MK, i handed over the postcards - they did the rest!
