sending post cards home from mexico

any recent cruisers from the west coast cruise sent postcards back home? (i'm sure there are few...) if so, can you tell me how you did it? i know, sounds like a ridiculous quesion...but were there postoffices near by? i heard/read that there's a post office/kiosk right by where the ship docks in one of the ports, but forgot which one it was. anyways, where do you purchase stamps? and drop off in mailboxes? and do the ship send them out for you? (like in hotels?)

any info on this is greatly appreciated! thanx!
