Hello, I was hoping to send some items from home (snacks, etc) to CBR for our stay. Has anyone done this before? If so, how many days in advance do you send it and also do you need to let the hotel know that a package will be coming? Any other tips and advise?

Thanks a bunch!

I sent a box on Thursday to the BCV. It will arrive Tuesday or Wednesday, and we're due to arrive on Thursday. You don't need to tell them in advance. Just address the package to you at the resort, and add a line saying "hold for (date) arrival." Everyone assured me that it works.

I sent baby gear, formula, wipes, diapers, etc. and our toiletries, and it weighed 14.5 lbs. It cost me about 10 to ship UPS ground.

Hope this helps,
Adele

Thanks a bunch Baileymouse, this should really help out a bunch!:wave2:

Hmm, this is the second reply I posted that doesn't show up on the forum...

Our infant DD has very special baby formula needs. We have had good luck with ordering this from Mead Johnson and having it shipped direct to the resort. We ship 7 business days in advance, it actually arrives in just a couple of days and they haven't had any problems holding on to it for us until we arrive. We get a little note on check in, but wait until we are settled to get it from guest/bell svcs.

A couple of tips for doing this; have it shipped to you as guest of the particular resort and have the arrival date included somewhere on the shipping label. Also make sure the Guest name is the exact same name on the reservation. Something like:

Guest: John Doe (Arrriving: Feb 02, 2004)
c/o Disney's Grand Floridian Resort
etc.

I want to send pre-made gift baskets for my family for when we arrive. I am hoping I can get the concierge to have them ready for us in our room. Has anyone else done this before?

Does anyone know if there is a fee for sending a package ahead of time to the resort you are styaing at? I was told that there might be one that someone had read it on a post. Thanks :wave2:

Hi sent a package last Oct 2003 and there was no fee. Actually they were really great about it. One tip put your confirmation number on as well and we did call the resort directly just to let them know it was coming. It was really great to have it waiting for us when we got there. We plan to do it again next year and use Netgrocer.com, which I have read about in past posts and people have had really good luck with them.

Hi s&k'smom :wave2:

Thanks for the reply and the link I will go there and check it out. THanks for the advice about the conformation # too.
