Sending Packages ahead

Several of us on the May 5th Western Caribbean cruise on the Magic, had been thinking of sending a box ahead with little gifts for our new friends, especially the kids. Has anyone done this? If we are to have our meet around 3:15, before the drill, would we be able to get to these boxes before the meet? Does it take as long as it takes to get the luggage. Any helpful advise would be appreciated!!
