can you send money before you board the cruise to use when you are on the cruise for ship credit (kinda like a pre-payment?) Has anyone done this?

Yes, I sent $50 each for 2 cabins in Feb-May for our cruise July 29. Our cabin and our children's now have $200 each in shipboard credit, a nice "base" so our bill won't be too sky high. You can fax your request to (407) 566-7739, giving reservation number, cabin number and your name and credit card #.

You can also do this by calling 1-800-601-8455. You can add shipboard credits in increments of $25.00 and up. :D

We've been trying to send in $50 each payday. If we keep on schedule we hope to have around $1000 in credit when we leave:firefight

So does anyone know how much we're going to spend? Can we get it back if we don't spend it?

We just got back form the July 4th 4 day cruise. I had a 750.00 on board credit tyat I had built up. We ended up spending 1382.00. That included 3 different spa treatments, snorkelling in Nassau, Pictures and lots of souviners. Well worth it though.

We are a family of 4 doing the land sea combo. 3 days at sea. How much do you think is a reasonable amount to send?

I know, I can't figure it out either. I've been on the 4-day and last one was the 3-day and I still can't figure it out.

I think you need to decide what you will be charging? Any excursions? Any Spa treatments? Lots of souvenirs or just a few? Alcohol drinks? LOT's of photos bought or just a few? Maybe you'll do the photo package for $85? Any island charges, although I believe you'll need cash for those. Will you charge the tips and give the recommended amounts? Once you have an idea then I think you can guess better how much to send.

I haven't figured it all out yet except that I don't really drink much alcohol, I won't be doing any spa treatments or excursions excpet my DH will do the parasailing on CC, I'll probably do the photo package, I was going to give the tips in envelopes in cash, if possible. Probably $200 in souvenirs. I have a couple of months to figure it out though!

Good luck!

I understand if you book through DREAMS you can prepay online, by using their client services pages, request, online payment and sellect 'other' type in you are overpaying for shipboard credit.
