This is probably a dumb question but I'm still going to ask! LOL
I was thinking of sending a few postcards from Universal to my family that are harry potter fans.
Do they sell stamps that I can use to mail to Canada?
Thanks,

Yup, just tell them where it's going, it just means they'll sell you a more expensive stamp. Same as when we send mail anywhere other than Canada, still Canadian stamps, just more $$. They will be ready to help you with that, have a blast, Harry World as my daughter called it, is awesomesauce

They do sell stamps, but they are the expensive special addition kind. It would be much cheaper to buy them in advance. Since that might not be possible coming from Canada, maybe try the hotel’s business center or if you will have a rental car, run by a local post office.

The other issue is there is no one there who can tell you how many stamps you’d need to use. If there’s any way you can get a prestamped / prepaid for envelope or card in advance, that is what I’d do. I know in the US you can go to the local post office or UPS and give them the starting and ending zipcodes, and they will figure out the correct postage for you. You can then buy the correct number of stamps.

The owl post is really only a mail drop off spot. There is a TM there, but they aren’t a US postal worker. They are just a regular Uni employee. They have a little owl post stamp they use, but it’s just for fun. It doesn’t really mean anything as far the post office is concerned.

You can also send mail by rocket ship at the front of the park, but again it is just a drop off mailbox. There isn’t even a TM at this spot, so everything needs to be prestamped with the correct postage.

Thank you. We are getting really excited, this is our first trip to Universal and I can't wait to visit HP!

Thank you! We are driving so we will have a car. I'll try the hotel's business centre. We will be in town 2 days before we hit the parks so we have time! thanks for letting me know about the two locations. I will make a note of them!

Or you could just go to the USPS website and see that rate for a postcard being mailed internationally requires $1.15 in postage.

All you need to do is find stamps (hotel front desk should know if there is anywhere IN the hotel, maybe the gift shop) I can't speak to Universal because we didn't send any from there BUT i know that we were able to buy stamps in Disney in any of the gift shops.
