Sending a bounceback to my email is just silly

Have they stopped putting offers in rooms?

I don't really want to be checking my email for a bounceback while on vacation. Worse, as is the case just now, I see the bounceback after I return home.

We had the flyer in our room when we went in January. They also sent us an email during our stay reminding us about the offer in the room and that we had to book before check-out.

Just call the bb number from your room phone. You don't even need the flyer.

They aren't in every room.

If it's not in mine and I know I'm going back that year, I call 8844 from my room to find out what the offer is.

I "opted out" of receiving emails while on our recent trip. (April 16-24) The bounceback flyer was in our room at the GF, so I didn't need the email.

There wasn't in offer in my room, so I didn't think about it, and then to see in the email that I needed to call before checking out... That didn't strike me as very Disney-like.

What is 8844? CRO, or a special bounce-back line?

I hope they put a flyer in my room. Who goes on the computer when you're on vacation? Not me!!:surfweb:

The past few stays we had the Contemporary they were in our room and we took advantage of it this past December, by calling the Bounceback number and getting 40% off this August at the Contemporary for a Atrium Club - Bay Lake View.

I do! Well not the computer, but I was soooo addicted to my blackberry that I switched to the iphone. So at least I won't be checking work emails.

They only sent us an e-mail while we were there in March and of course, we did not get it until we were already home. I was so mad!!

I think this email bit is a way to get folks to spend the money for internet service. Any guest can get a bounceback whether or not they have the flyer if they call prior to check out. Just call 8844 and let them know you are interested in a return trip. They will let you know what the offer is.

I agree. Especially since they let you know ahead of time that they will email it to you while you're in Disney. Maybe we should email guest services and tell them we don't like this idea because many of us do not check computers while at Disney. WE ARE ON VACATION!!! ;)

As an added note. We stayed in 3 different resorts in Oct 2008. We received the bounceback flyer in CBR, but we did NOT receive the flyer at our other two resorts ~ SSR and BC. Odd. I also didn't know you could call even if you didn't get a flyer. Glad I know now.

I have a Droid w/Google email. My main address I don't give out other than to a few family members (only those I might NEED to hear from).

However, since I can get several email address through Google, I made one especially for this purpose so that the only email I get on that account is from WDW. Now I receive promotions, etc. directly to my phone AND I can receive my online ADR confirmations.

I do take a 'mini' computer to which I download my digital pictures each evening. I can review/delete those I don't wish to keep, then move/copy the rest onto a flash drive for later installation to my home computer.

Most of the resorts we visit on vacation offer free internet, so having access to various Disney (and other travel related) websites is a welcome convenience. That way I don't have to print out and take so much 'research' with us. :tiptoe:

Anyone staying in a Disney resort, who calls before they check out. And that is if there is a bb offer at that time.

If you don't see one, turn on the disney information channel. IF there's a BB going on it will be advertised on the station. Wait for it to get to the resorts section and generally at the end of this section, it will tell you about any current bb that is taking place and will give you the phone number to call to book before checkout. Sometimes we get the flyer, and sometimes we don't, but I always know to take a minute or two to watch this info channel, especially the day before we leave, as it's a pain if they change the bb on your last day and you get home and didn't know about it!
