SELLOUT crowd to Packers Scrimmage - I was there!

So what National Football League teams can have a team scrimmage, sell tickets to it, and have a sellout crowd? That PACKERS, that's who.

My dad called to get tickets 15 minutes after they started selling tickets and look at the seats we got:

Yup, that's <b>front row</b> row 1 for those of you keeping track!

18 of us tailgated:

Played football in the parking lot:

Met huge Packer stars:

(of wait, he's not a Packer star)

Got some autographs:

Cheered out Team(s) on:

And watched some fireworks afterwards:

What an awesome way to spend the day, we had a great time, ate a lot of food, and got to see our favorite Green and Gold. What a day!

Looks like a fun day, Jeff. Brit looks she can throw a good one. And that first picture of Brit and mom is really super!!! Not sure about the team colors there, but the picture is great!!!!

Dan, we had a <i>token</i> bears fan with us:

He was Alan, my brother's neighbor in Illinois. He's a die hard Bears fan but came along because he thought it would be fun. He had a great time - Bears games aren't anything like the Packers.

DD Brittany was wearing her 'Favre' jersey - it's just his 'away' jersey - the team is green and white away. She wanted to be different from the standard Green and Gold....

My son would be very envious if I showed him the pics. Much to his fathers amazement he is a big Packers fan. I must tell you how it all began though....

When he was three we went up to Appleton for a job possibility for my husband. While we were there we went to the mall as it was one of them that my husband was in charge of for GGP. Of course there was Packers stuff everywhere. Well, Kevin's favorite color was (and is) green so he instantly fell in love with the "Green Bay Crackers" as he called them at the time. We got him a little jersey and he wanted to waer it 24/7. As Kevin has gotten older (he is 10 now) it has become more of a thing to bug his Dad, but he still loves them!

Hope you had a good time, and I'll send Kevin your way if you ever want to bring a 10 year old to another Packers event! LOL

I am green with envy. Some day I hope to make it to a Packer game at Lambeau. My DB has gone to several and well.... What an awesome experience for you and your family. I know there are die-hard fans for all teams, but the Pack seems a bit more faithful. I am on the waiting list for season tickets and giggle each year I get my new number... not in my lifetime will I see tickets!!!

Actually, the Browns and Bills scrimmage on Saturday was sold out as well -- and it wasn't even in Ohio.

Looks like great fun. I had my first Lambeau experience last year and it was a blast! I think we may go again this year...I'm not a huge football fan, since I don't know that much about it, but I'm learning!

Wouldn't having a Packer jump in your lap be the most awesme thing ever?

I think if that ever happened to me I'd have to spend an hour in one of those decontamination showers!

I was able to get great seats (50 yard line, about 30 rows up) at lambeau for a VIKINGS-packers game in 1996 and I'll have to admit, I really enjoyed the experience! People threw things at me until (it kills me to say this) the packers pulled away in the 2nd half. Then we all got along well and I didn't feel like my life was in danger!

I ALMOST feel bad that the Vikings will be ruining Christmas for all you cheeseheads this year!!!!!

Uh-oh. Did you see his two punts? Sheesh! We Packer fans are a patient bunch, so we'll cut him a ton of slack, but I'm nervous already.

The lady in the next office had some family in town from Omaha for a visit last week, so she took her kids and their cousins to GB to see a practice. A couple of them got to give players bike rides to the practice field. One of the cousins got a flat tire out of it, but he didn't care a bit!
