We have made the decision to sell a small 60 point contract at SSR ( it's o.k., we are buying a larger contract). We own it outright and have friends who are DVC members as well and they want to buy our contract. Can this be done without a broker? What would be the process? Any help would be appreciated.

Have you called Member Services? I would assume that you have to still give Disney a ROFR option but, if it passes, it may be as simple as finding a form Warranty Deed (or the Florida equalivalent) and then just filing it with the real estate records. However, MS might be willing to do it for you since you already have a willing buyer and since it seems to be a straightfoward deal. I would say, though, that if there are any questions about the process, you may want to consult a broker anyway - - you would hate to botch something and have your friends lose their newly purchased points. Good luck! :goodvibes

You can do it yourselves. as others said, you still need to submit it for ROFR. You'd then need to fill out a new deed and have it recorded with Orange County. Even a quit claim deed would suffice in most cases. A warranty deed would likely require a title company to do a title search and closing, so would be an additional expense, but still less than using a broker.
