Selling used equipment

I have a camera and a couple lenses I would like to seel and upgrade. Are there any good sites that I can list on that are camera specific? Can I list on this board?

You can't list here but there are sites. Photography On the Net is a Canon forum and has a sales section. Right now I can't remember any other forums off the top of my head for sales, but I know they're out there.

Also check places like KEH.com that buy used gear for fair prices.

Thank you. I am a nikon user. Does the canon site allow "off brands?"

They had some on there when I was a member. I heard that POTN was going to expand to more than Canon users, but I stopped going there a while ago so I don't know if they did.

I'm on P.O.T.N, and yes I have seen non-Canon brand items for sale [such as Sony, Nikon, Pentax, etc]. Also, I have found some success selling on Ebay, Craigslist, Amazon, B & H and Adorama [although B & H / Adorama, you will get significatly less, since they then re sell and need to make a profit].

I've had good luck on Craigslist, and fredmiranda.com (you have to be a paying member to post in buy and sell there).

I sold a couple of things on Amazon recently, and they sold pretty fast. I made a point to have the lowest price (at worse, 3rd lowest) of what others had listed. Still sold at a good amount though.

If you do sell there, you might just want to start a seller account there now. It takes about 3 weeks or so to get your 1st payment (it's weekly after that). I'm not sure if that clock starts when you sign up, or when you actually list something. I did both that same day.

I have sold some gear on craigslist, meeting the buyer in a public place. They can carefully check out the gear before handing over the money and I do not have to worry about damage during transit.
