Dear Ladies,
I am having a yard sale this weekend and am planning on selling a bunch of punches, old CM thanks to you gifts and some idea books. I need help with the pricing. How much do you think I should sell this stuff for? Most of it is in really good shape. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Lisa:D

JMO, you should sell the old Creative Memories items on Ebay. You will get much more out of them.

I can't sell the CM stuff on e-bay because I'm a consultant. But thanks for the advice. I'm sure it would bring in more money that way.

That's a hard one. When I go to yard sales I am out for cheap! I would suggested you have the items displayed together and not mingled in with other items. Also if you have an old catalogue with the selling prices I would have that on display. or put on the sticker orginal price and then the reduced price.
Good luck!
Shame you can't sell on Ebay you would then have a better chance of getting a good price.
I know one lady who I bought a lot of CM stuff from, once she decided to quit selling or if she had lots of the old stuff left over she had a scrappers yard sale in her scrap room. You might want to offer the things to your clients at a reduced rate. They would at least know the value.

Spinning has a good idea. My CMC often has a "thieves table" at her crops/open houses. She usually marks things half price. I bought several Fast Formula books that way.

or, maybe a friend could buy the items at a fair price and then sell them herself on ebay. I'm always surprised at the prices some things go for there, esp. when you have to add shipping!

I'd might be interested in buying some of your scrapbook stuff. I'm willing to pay shipping.

My MIL, SIL and I are having a yard sale this weekend also. You're right you never get what something is worth! I think you have 2 options....hold onto the books until you have another show and then have a discounted table. OR you can write what the price is from the CM catalog and then what you want for it.
Example if the catalog is $15 in the brochure, put $10 under it. I know when my MIL goes to yard sales she ALWAYS tries to talk the person down on the price marked.
Hope this helps and good luck on your sale. Sure wish you were close to where I live.....I'd buy several things from you!! ;>)

My MIL will give you $2.50 for all of it. j/k but not really. :teeth:

I hope you can find another way to sell the stuff!

I also sent you a PM about some of the idea books but since others were posting here I didn't want to be left out! :)

I had a recent yardsale. The only scrap stuff I was willing to part with was CK & Simple Scrapbook magazines. I kept the ones of the style I liked most....and the rest I put in the sale.

I put them in a milkcrate & had a sign "25 cents each OR 5/$1". I sold maybe 16-20 of them. I really thought there would be more scrappers. Most of the people interested in them were people who seemed like they wanted to start getting into scrapping.

None of the magazines had anything torn from them. All were in excellent shape.
