No, I am not selling my points or asking anyone to buy them. I just have a question on a what if... IF I decide down the road to sell my points....is it something I can do myself like a for sale by owner OR do you have to go through a company?

Like any real estate transaction, you can sell it yourself. Just make sure that you follow Disney's requirements.

If you have a buyer, there is no real need to go through a realtor as the closing can easily be managed in a number of ways without the use of a broker.

If you need help finding a buyer, a realtor may be the best avenue to accomplish that critical component of your sale.

This is true for both DVC resales and any other type of property you wish to sell. If you can find your own buyer, there is no need to use a realtor.

you do have to send the contract through DVC's ROFR process, regardless.

also, since DVC has ROFR on the contracts and can scoop up any firesale priced contracts for themselves, there is not as much incentive to look for a FSBO. ordinarily, the notion that the seller can save on commissions means that the buyer might hope for a lower price - but that doesn't work as cleanly here, so i'd typically rather deal with a broker who knows what they are doing.

Many timeshare owners sell them on their own. While DVC has many reliable brokers which makes it easier to sell (I would use them). If you want to sell on your own "tug" has a decent how to.
