We're tossing around the idea of selling our BWV contract and I was wondering how much commission a resale broker takes from the sale. I didn't really want to contact a broker at this point because we are very early in the "thinking about it" stage. I've had enough phone calls from resale brokers trying to get me to sell when I wasn't considering it- I don't want more!

I would speculate in the 12% range. I am not sure, but I may have picked that up here as the ACTUAL percentage that TTS works with.

12% sounds reasonable considering it is the only source of income the brokerage has...

Again, I could be wrong on that 12% figure.

I just listed my Boardwalk contract. Their regular commission is 12% but they are running a special right now at 10%.

Some are as high as 12% and some have a minimum. 10% should be your expectation.

I sold my Westgate on Ebay myself. The auction amount was simply for the deposit of $200 of which I think Ebay charges something like 6%. So it cost me something like $12 plus a .50 listing fee. The actual total price was $3000

A title company handled the rest for $395 which the buyer paid.

I would imagine it would be even easier to sell a DVC contract as there are only a handful of them on Ebay at any time.
