Is there a good place to sell old pc games? We've got lots. I was thinking of GameStop or some such place, or would selling them on eBay be better?

Try Movie Trading Company first. They buy even old NES games. They also buy CDs and I have gotten a better price from them than Game Stop, Half Price Books, and CD Universe. Check them out, then eBay or Craiglist.

Lots of places don't accept computer games anymore. :confused3

Sadly this is true. Particularly for newer games. The sad fact of the matter is that when you buy a computer game today, more than likely you are not actually buying the game. You are renting it.

The reality is that these games come with a DRM scheme that requires online activation and have a limited number of installs. They say this was done to combat piracy but in reality it was to kill the resell market.

So, if you have a game from the last five years or so, it probably can not be sold, because you don't really own it.

Game Stop / EB games stopped buying and selling PC games a few years ago. That is really too bad as I was able to get some good deals on older games.

Thanks for the info! Some of these games are OLD, but I think they all still work. When we had our desktop computer, we installed/uninstalled/reinstalled the games as necessary, because they took up so much room. Some of them (like Civilization) only run while the CD is in the PC.
