Selling of the fastpass....

You'll have to be a little more specific because when it comes to drivel, that would apply to a lot of us. :rotfl:

Yup, I'm full of it, too! :p

Ack. UNCFanatik got me again by finding a reference about fastpass machines being by the attraction. Shucks. Need to change that to say "by - or near - the attraction".

Heh, or not.

Please, continue to smear and insult me. I don't know how I will sleep tonight. Guess I'll have to close this account and create a new one if I ever want to show my face on the Dis again. :rolleyes2

I asked before, but of course, you ignored the question.
When you used FP's, did you ever get one for someone else in your party?
Have you ever taken multiple park tickets to a FP machine and gotten more than one?
If so, did you make sure that you kept the correct FP with the correct ticket that was used to obtain it?
I'm pretty sure the answer to the last question is no, which means you are GUILTY OF VIOLATING Disney policy because you just transferred that pass.

I would like to see this answered....

Well this was entertaining....:badpc:

OP - yes, I've had the same thoughts as you regarding the "value" of a FP once they've all been distributed for the day. I would never consider actually selling one, but it's fun to think about what they might be worth to someone who really wants one. I'm not entirely sure I wouldn't buy one given the situation - i.e my child is whining because the TSM FP's are all gone and I am sooo not waiting in a 2-hour standby line, and lo and behold, that guy over there said he'll sell me his for $5 - hmmmmm......what to do??? :rotfl2: No, this hasn't happened, but I can't say I wouldn't consider it if it did! And yes, I know it would set a bad example for my little angel, and no, I never said I was mom of the year. (P.S. - to answer your question, I'm pretty sure OP means "original poster" or something to that effect.)

UNC - geez, dude. Seriously? :hyper:

T_catt - I think it's pretty cool that you put so much effort into a website designed to help people planning their vacations. So what if it's not all 100% accurate? It's still an awesome thing that you do. :thumbsup2 FYI, though, it seems you may have a stalker - creepy.

Just asking about your credibility and your professed Disney knowledge.

You recently gave someone wrong info about rope drop at DHS:

http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=45114173&postcount=21

and you were corrected in that thread. But that wrong info is also on your website.

and how near is the Winnie the Pooh Fastpass machine to the Winnie the Pooh attraction right now?

I know its easier to make light of these errors than it is to present a plausible explanation for them or God forbid make sure the info you have on your website is up to date and correct.

Well, thanks. I do try. UNC has a point, I ought to do a better job of going back and updating articles... but the fact is that I post free info. Most of my updating time goes to the character finder. Older articles are often forgotten; not the best thing, but it is what it is.

I work full time, work a second job (web development and consulting), and raise five kids. I guess somebody will have to sue me for not updating the location of the Winnie the Pooh fastpass machines. :confused3

Oh, and yeah - I am getting the stalker vibe, too. Beware, would-be stalkers - I have body hair in unpleasant places. You might want to be careful when aiming those high powered scopes through my windows. ;)

I do not claim perfection. I have twice admitted mistakes in this thread alone. In October, we had rope drop at DHS. I haven't been as present on the Dis as I would like to be of late, so I missed this news. This is my plausible explanation. I do make mistakes, and I do have some outdated info that I try to keep updated as I become aware of it.

Note that my mistake regarding rope drop at DHS isn't exactly a deal breaker; so they don't drop a rope? And...?

Finally, see above info regarding updates/update schedule of my free website. :) If you are looking for something to do, I could absolutely use a fact checker and/or general article contributor. Let me know if you are interested.

Another sign that your train of logic has clearly run off the tracks... continuing to bash Tcatt11's WDW planning site. Why? It doesn't add anything to the discussion or do anything to advance your own position.:confused3

i would remind you that you used your website as a basis and proof of your credibility here:

http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=45173032&postcount=155

Your words...

I have maintained a WDW fansite for six years or so

So if it is proof of your credibility then its fair game. You have a number of errors on there from just a quick glance so why should I give any credence to your opinion on internal Disney policy when you cant even get simple mundane things right on your website that you claims supports your credibility.

And furthermore, you give other Dis'ers inaccurate info.

he is the one that brought up his website as a proof of credibility therefore it is fair game and definitely pertinent to this discussion because if he cant get simple things right on his website why should anyone lend credence to his assertions on more complicated matters in regards to Disney policy. He is claiming some level of expertise here.

But hey...be my guest..use his website as your sole source of planning your next trip.

Ok, so how many posts did you need to establish that point? On and on and on...

I don't use any one source to plan my vacations. Rather, I use multiple sources to get a more well rounded plan.

Heyyyyy. . .

we're still talking about FastPasses.

I heard from a friend of a cousin who's vet's patients master's cousin's neighbor's aunt's uncle's cousin is a CM.

They told me that Disney plans on strictly enforcing the FP return time soon.

Wade, you knew the answer before you asked. Many times, a person who lacks the ability to strengthen their argument will devolve to personal attacks and changes of subject. When presented with facts, our friend implied that said facts did not apply, were out of date, were perhaps forged, etc... then jumped on the above tactics.

I gave him a way to try to pick me apart. More power to him. Hey, I've asked if he'd like to help me improve the quality of that information. I don't see him taking me up on it, but whatever.

Let the flaming continue. Woo, attack me because you can't construct a logical foundation for your argument! :goodvibes

I heard this very same rumor! LOL

Funny how this was a rumor for a good five or six years before it came true. Maybe we can start a cool rumor that will one day come true!

What was that proverb about a picture being worth a thousand words?

Apparently, my failure to mention the current location of the Winnie the Pooh fastpass machine locations somehow negates the photographic evidence I posted earlier. :)

For the record, I advocate the use of multiple resources, such as this very forum. I believe that is even mentioned in on of the articles you are bashing. But again, hey, who are you to let facts stand in your way? :)

Would offer to another person as was offered to me in the past. You pay it forward in life and it will come back to honor you at some point. why would anyone want to sell a FD they got for free in the first place?

They're building another park outside of Montgomery, Al. And the monorail will be carried up there.

Just be careful if you drive to it. There is a cop that sits right beyond the sign where the speed limit drops, and he WILL ticket you for going any bit above the speed limit. Even if you have turned off your cruise control from the previous speed, and are letting yourself drift. You should jam on your brakes to get under the new posted speed before he gets you.

The ticket is $149, with an $8 fee if you pay it online (I wasn't driving 3 hours north to Montgomery to pay a ticket in person).

But I'm not bitter.

OH, and you can post that tidbit about the FP enforcement times to your website, don't worry about crediting me, it'll be our little secret.:thumbsup2

Dude, that would save me so. much. driving time!

Man, I can't wait for this to happen, traffic cop or no. :goodvibes

You wouldn't have happened to had bad experience with LEO's on US 231 or 331 in Alabama have you? I ask, because when we go down to Destin or PCB from KY, what you describe is their exact M.O.
