Has anyone sold their DVC through TSS that didn't have available points for this year? How long did it take? Just wondering if I should lower my cost per point.

Not that I have a DVC to sell, but I am looking to buy one. Saying that, I noticed almost all the DVC listings have no available points for 2008. They seem to start in 2009, and one was 2010. Not wanting to have to wait until 2009 to start to use the points, I often look past those listings.

My BWV contract had some of its 2008 points used. I came in with a lower offer, which was accepted and I did buy it.

I'm looking for an add on. For that one, I really do want all the 2008 points.

My SSR contract was for 150 pts, August use year, 1 point of 2008 allocation available, so essentially no points until 2009. I priced it at $79 per point, and I had an offer in 1 (yes, one) day. We are now in the closing process and I heard back this morning that I should be getting my check any day now. Part of the agreement was that I pay the remaining 2008 dues, but I thought that sounded fair, and what I would expect if I were buying something I couldn't use until next year.

My other contract was for 120 points (same UY, price/pt, and SSR), it had all points available for 2008, but it sat for about a month and a half before we had an offer. We are currently waiting for ROFR to pass and then the closing process can begin on that one. On that one the buyer is paying back this years dues.

I hate selling them, but can't say enough good things about TTS and TCS.

Thanks for your story. I have actually paid the dues in full for 2008. It has been about one week, so I guess I just have to patient. Thanks

And apparently I have to be patient again too - the buyers on the 120 pt contract just backed out this morning. Oh well.

If you go through The Timeshare Store (I highly recomment it) they will help you price your contract to sell.

I think this is the one I've been watching and wishing I afford right now, but I have to be patient and wait for GC.

We just recently bought through TSS. We may be the rare buyer out there, but we were actually looking for something with the 2008 points either used completely or the majority of points gone. Why??? We already had planned a summer vacation for this summer, and would really not have the funds for 2 major trips. Getting the resale stripped allowed us to purchase at a lower price, as well as not having to pay for the 2008 dues. The upside is that we are now able to book at the 11 month window for next years vacation.

You know, I didn't even think of that! We also have our summer vacation planned already, and although it's not going to be WDW :sad2:, we probably wouldn't be using any points until 2009. Good point!!
