We've done both by ourselves and with a broker. Someone told us it would be very easy to do it by ourselves. Well, it wasn't so next time we decided to sell some points, we used a broker.

I would agree. Use a resale broker. To me the commission is worth it as they handle all of the annoying paperwork, advertising, legal "stuff" etc. Oftentimes using a broker will yield a higher price than a private sale, which can mitigate the cost of the commission.
