selling cell phones

I assume it is something you want an immediate sale and not having to mess with eBay auction. I used the link off eBay a while back, the one about sell your stuff and get immediate money. They didn't try to lowball me or anything, whole deal went smoothly.

I recently sold an iPhone 3G with a bum microphone on Craig's List for $100. I had many offers and sold it in a day. My DH met the guy at a local gas station for the transaction. He said that he would fix the phone for about $5 and re-sell it. Very easy transaction.

go with ebay just remember to pay with paypal and ask the seller directly about the history of the phone. Is it a clean phone that you will be able to take into xyz store and have reconnected, has it ever been reported as lost or stolen etc. I've sold all my used phones on ebay because there is more value then selling them back after contract is up.

I've used both Gazelle and Totem (www.hellototem.com) and can recommend both highly. Fair, fast, zero hassle. Heck, I just got $31 for my old Galaxy S Vibrant at Totem, and it was completely bricked.

For Totem, use code cash65 for an additional $10 back. For Gazelle, try code Macgeek for an additional 5%.

Keep in mind many old cell phones are no longer usable -- a recent example is Nextel (and Boost Mobile counterparts with the Push-to-Talk feature), as that network is in the process of being decommissioned.

If you have old cellphones that no longer work, many places take them for donations..
