Selling American Girl Dolls -- Ebay or Craig's List

Thank you. Is that the only way I can find out whom I have is to look up pictures? There isn't a number or mark on them somewhere?

If I knew my dd would be married and have girls that liked to play with dolls I may keep but I really don't think I need to hold onto this stuff for many years when I'll just buy new if/when the time comes. I never played with dolls so maybe it is just me.

If anyone knows if there is any other way to look up dolls that were purchased about 10 years ago other than comparing pictures, please let me know.

Thanks for the reminder, OP! I bought a Samantha when they retired her because I wanted one as a child...but she's just sat in the box in the basement and I kinda forgot about her! Will have to look into what she might go for on ebay.

They retire lots of dolls so you won't necessarily be able to buy it later on.

My mom made me keep both my dolls and my boxes and boxes of clothes and accessories. My first daughter is due in October and I can't wait until she's old enough to play with them. I'm super grateful that my mom made me keep everything (both for the sentimental reasons and the money saving reason!).

My aunt purchased some of our duplicates this morning *it's a bit of an obsession for DD and me.

I only sold dolls that we had 2 of *I will never get rid of DD's dolls, keep them for her, daughters she may have one day, other daughters I might have one day.

$90 each *some are retired most were Pleasant Company *before Mattel took over.

Ebay charges a lot of $$ in fees *so does paypal. Check out selling them on AGplaythings.com ~ Nikki is very well liked. Summer time is slow season for AGs on ebay - wait till closer to C-mas if you go the ebay route ~ well any route you go.

This site is fantastic and I used it today to identify the trunk I just bought. Its in my bookmarks now! For all the googling I have done in the past for info on Pleasant Company products, I never found this!
