I have decided to sell one of my lenses and I was wondering what venues others here have used to sell their equipment. I know there's always ebay and craigslist, but are there other good ways to sell stuff?

I listed my D60 with the kit lens and my 18-200 VRII recently on Nikonians.org under the "I want to sell" forum. I ended up with a bunch of offers on the D60 and one on the 18-200 within a matter of days. It looks like that site gets a lot of traffic (although you need a silver membership to post which costs $25).

Also - the "For Sale" forum on Nikoncafe.com seems to be back up and running, although they have a rule of being a member for 180 days or 300 posts before you can try to sell anything. I actually started a thread just getting opinions on whether to sell my 18-200 or not and got a warning from one of the moderators that it was borderline a "for sale" post.

keh, adorama and b&h will sell stuff but think you'd be better off in a private forum type location( ie fredmiranda has a sales place i know)
i was going to sell a lens at KEh and they were not giving me much for it...it was excellent condition, less than a yr old and they offered a price that was about $100 less than the price it was going for other places used and older, guess due to their markup. i did get one call from i thought a real person( not the cash me a check and send me the amount leftover type scams) from the Cleveland craigslist, not sure how close you are to Cleveland but i had decided to keep the lens by then( good thing since i use it all the time now;))
i have noticed a few times on fredmiranda that new posters ie unknown by others there get lots of questions as to their authenticity...maybe selling via paypal or something would make others more confident?

I can second Nikonians.org for a positive experience. I have also used ebay, but the fees are a bit steep.

I've both bought (a camera bag) and sold (my D80 and the 18-105vr kit lens) stuff on Nikonians.org. Because you have to have a paid membership, people tend to be pretty honest.

Yeah..I try to avoid selling expensive stuff on eBay 'cause you get hit by eBay fees AND Paypal fees, even though they're the same company.
