Hello,
Just wondering what you guys thought about this one.....should I sell the clothes on Ebay or wait until into the summer and do a HUGE garage sale and sell his clothes, toys, carseat, stroller, bathtubs, etc..........I have a lot of his clothes (preemie up to 18 mos.).......a lot of brand names however, they would be mixed in with the target, carters brands, etc.....so I didn't know if I would have a better chance with that stuff at garage sales or Ebay???? Please let me know.....would love some advice......gotta make my disney money, you know.

Although it's not one of your options, have you thought of consignment? That's what I have done in the past to get rid of all the old baby things that weren't useful any more. There's no work involved except to drive to the shop and drop off the things. The shop I used would let me choose to sell outright or do consignment. ...Just another option. Hope it helps

I sold some clothing on ebay size 24 months and even though it's winter stuff it sold. I made about $2.00 for each piece and it was Walmart and KRU brands. The $2 is after ebaying fees, etc.

If you have nice items that are not stained or have flaws and are mostly name brand, I would try eBay. You can also search completed auctions to see if they would do better in lots or individual outfits (for the name brand items). I don't know much about selling this size since my DS is older.

If they are not in really good shape, then I would try garage sale instead. Buyers on eBay seem to be really picky and I've been reading lots of the eBay boards about buyers complaining that the items are not as "nice" as they thought, then returning the items for a refund. Luckily I've not had that issue but that would be pain, IMO!

We have a garage sale every year and I do quite well with kids clothes. I do, however, take the more name brand clothes and group them together and sell them on E-Bay (if they don't sell then I put them in the garage sale). I don't do consignment shops because they just don't give you a lot of money. I brought in a bunch of tubs one day of clothes and they were going to give me $70 for everything. I declined and had a garage sale and ended up making $300-$400 on the same stuff. That's why I will never sell my stuff to a consignment store.

I'd say ebay. You can make a lot more in my opinion. People are willing to pay more than yard sales and a lot more people see it. If it's in good shape and name brand, sell each item or outfit seperate. If they aren't in as good of shape or aren't name brand, ptu them in lots. At least that's my experience.
