sellers remorse

So decided to sell and listed our DVC. Just when I had resigned to it not selling as quickly as we/hoped needed to offset the cost of my husband's credential program (and planning to just keep it and rent points a few years) we got a full priced offer. Then just today a friend said they would be interested in buying it from us and selling it back in a few years... I realize that's not practical but sellers remorse is kicking my butt. I know it's for the best but definitely gonna miss it!

I hope you were able to enjoy your points while you had them and now you can think of selling your points as giving someone else the opportunity to do the same.

Good luck.

There's no reason why you can't buy another contract in a few years ;)
Bingo! Nothing is permanent in the DVC world. Get yourself back to where you need to be and buy a resale contract. You have 50+ years to do it, resort dependent...

Oh...I felt the same way today when I realized I didn't have enough points this year for our changed plans. We had sold a contract earlier this year (but also kept some points). I feel your pain  Unexpected costs are the worse.

I feel the need to clarify....Probably a pride thing :-) We aren't selling for financial hardships, more because life is changing. We will definitely consider buying again, but will probably look to buy in California.... Really hoping there's a DVC at the DLH in a few years!

At least you got the price you wanted. :thumbsup2 And keep in mind your friend might not want to sell it to you when you wanted to buy it.

Good luck and best wishes!

If there's anything you can count on: Death/Taxes/Disney will have someway of taking any money you are willing to give them. Hakuna Matata:earsboy:

I read the story on how DL didn't have the capability to purchase a lot of land in CA, and seedy motels popped up around it. Then Disney worked with it's "Good Neighbors" and improved the neighborhood to what it is today- SO AWESOME!
