.. we've booked for ASMo again but was wondering if theres anything I'll be missing out on if I don't change to pop century?
Am I right in thinking that you still can't walk to any park from there?
are the preferred rooms worth it?
is it a heck of a hike from the other rooms to the food court/bus stops?
is there any advantage park -wise in travelling times to park?
are the pools nice?
umm, anything else you can think of?

I.ve not stayed there, but PC is closer to MGM, DTD and TL and probably closer to all parks except AK. Also there's only the one whereas AS's have 3 resorts.

I haven't stayed there either, but I think I've read here that you can view a fireworks display from a certain side of the resort. I'm booked at movies and I've been toying with this idea as well.

Hi

We have stayed at ASP and ASMo. The only problem I have with All Star Resorts some times after the park closes we had to share a line with all three resorts and you can imagine how frustrated we were having been at the park all day and they had 1 bus going to all three resorts. It was not as if the buses were more frequent either. That has put me off this hotel for life. I loved the theme, but it caused so many transportation problems. I would go to Pop just for the transportation problems we occured alone.

Thanks Angel659, the busses are the only downside of all stars I agree, but to be honest we didn't find it too much of a pain last year. I do love the theme at ASMo though. decisions, decisions :confused3

Carol, Ive stayed at The All Star Movies, Sports and The Pop, and I love them all. A couple of advantages to the Pop in my own opinion is , Better and larger food court, Quicker travelling time to most of the parks, however the bus's do get very full as its a large resort, we mainly found this problem coming home after extra magic hours. At the pop we had a great room in the 50's section, top floor, very close to the pool and the food court and bus stops. There is a great pool side bar called Petals which serve great cocktails, and I also thought the shop had a slightly better range of merchandise than the All Stars.

I would be happy to go back to any of them as The All Star Sports will always be a special place for us as we have been there the most times, but I did really enjoy the Pop. :cheer2:

Good luck in whatever you decide hon :thumbsup2

When disney started the values it oppened sports first then music then movies then last one to open was pop.As each one was opened they were sight improvements from the last.We have stayed att all and found pop the best as florida sun says the food court at pop is better, more range et and has a carpetet area whith a small wall around to dine in part of it,this deadans the sound a lot. Most of the blocks are close to food court.of the values pop is our fave then the movies

I prefer pop(september will be my second visit there). The advantages are that unlike all stars it has its own bus service and doesnt share it with other resorts(all stars goes to all 3). The prefered rooms, are either close to the dining area or bus stops, personaly we stayed in the 1980's rubix cube block and it was ideal for both of these a great pleace to be!!.

as a value its got a good food court, and the pools are nice. Id certainly recomend it to others to stay here.

Sell you Pop?

I've got Diet Coke, Fanta and Sprite. Any of those do you? ;)

Having stopped at asm {sept 04} i never found the bus service a problem{10 minute at the most} and the drop off point to each allstar hotels is a matter minutes

I Thought Disney transportation was excellent

We have stayed in several WDW resorts and this August / Seotember will be our first time in Pop Century. We called in to have a look last Christmas and we were VERY impressed with what we saw. It looks a lot cleaner that the All Starf resorts and much more up-to-date.
