Selfie Sticks

I know they are banned 100% from the parks, but are they allowed at the resorts? I have one, and was wanting to take it to capture some pictures around our hotel of our family. I would not be obnoxious and get in others way. Just wasn't sure on the policy outside the park.

Resorts are fine. They were originally banned only on rides (for obvious safety reasons), but people kept bringing them on rides anyway so they had to ban them outright just to keep them off rides. No rides at resorts, so the safety concern isn't there.

We were at Coronado Springs during spring break and my daughter had hers at the pool. She barely had it up, and management nicely informed her that they are now not allowed at resorts. Maybe it's changed since spring break, but at that time, at that resort, we could not use a selfie stick.

Hmm, I don't see anything on the website. I wouldn't plan on using it at the pool. The worst they can ask is to put it away.

they might not allow then when it is crowded but I think if you are aware of the other guest around you then you should be fine but like you said if they say you can not use it just put it a way or use it in your room and then you know for next time.

I use a gorillapod for when we want everyone in the shot. No annoying selfie stick and you can put it anywhere to get a great shot.
